"The quick easy beach access from the house made this location a great fit for us. We loved catching the sunrise on the beach every morning with a cup of tea. The host was super responsive with everything. We appreciate a well equipped kitchen because we mostly cook in on vacation. The back deck was enjoyable as well with a beautiful view of the marsh and back bay sunsets. Though it's on the main drag walking to town one or two blocks east is easy. The outdoor shower and all the beach gear available is a bonus too."

"This is our fourth year staying in this location and we have already booked for next year so that should say enough! We have a multi-generational family coming from all over the United States and all stay comfortably - including a newborn! We gather on the deck in the mornings for coffee or by the pool in the afternoon and back on the deck in the evenings after we can all sit at one table for dinner! In the mornings, some walk to breakfast, some head to the beach, some go for a run or to the pier to fish. The great thing about this location is that all of these things can be done without getting in a car. The newest addition we enjoyed walking to this year was Saltys Surf Shack - where you can have a cocktail or beer on the beach before dinner. It was another great year of memories and am already looking forward to next year."

"The new outside shower was a very nice update. One observation: an excessive amount of food items were left on one of shelves in the kitchen pantry. We did not discard any of the items but it appeared that many of them should have been removed or taken by previous guests. We always appreciate the extra little perks such as the hand soaps in every bathroom and in the kitchen. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the deck watching the early more waves. It was a very hot week but the famous Topsail breeze helped to make it a pleasant week."

"Great location! We loved the quick walk to the pool and beach. It was in walking distance to the pier, ice cream, and restaurants. My only complaint was the grill was not worth trying to use which made it hard to cook the steaks and pork chops we brought with us and the knives need an upgrade. I usually purchase a bunch of fruit on vacation but decided against that because the knives were so bad."
