Book a hotel near The Congress Trail, Sequoia National Park

"First time staying there with my kids. It’s so close to the entrance to Sequoia. They have definitely been upgrading the property. The room had a flat screen tv. The screen to the window and the screen door were both metal/steel. The AC is not central. There’s also an old sign on it stating to turn off all the lights to save electricity or there would be an extra charge. The owner (I’m assuming) was attentive and gave me the requested items (I needed an extra towel). I have to admit I was not fond of the checkout. I had to leave the key in a tin basket outside the office door since there was no staff onsite at the time. For all I know, someone could have grabbed the key and gone into the room my kids and I stayed in and trash it. A slot in the office door would have been better. For a last minute stay, I would recommend it. The market next door was great."
