This cabin in the pines is on 35 acres. The location feels secluded but is less than 1/4 mile off of Hwy 550 (5 miles from Ouray & 5 miles from Ridgway Colorado). This SW Colorado area is the Gateway to the San Juan & Cimarron Mts. The Alpine loop drive starts at Ridgway to Ouray to Silverton to Durango-Cortez to Telluride.

A central location for Summer & Fall local site seeing & 1 or 2 days area trips to Mesa Verde National Park /Moab & Arches National Park, Silverton to Durango short gage train and the 4 corners. There is the Black Canyon outside of Montrose & Blue Mesa Lakes outside of Gunnison. Winter Ice climbing in Ouray & Skiing in Telluride.

Local vacation attractions are: Year round Hot Springs Pool in Ouray. Summer: outdoor sports-camping, hiking, biking, 4 X 4 & Jeep tours, hunting & fishing + Ridgway Reservoir (swimming, fishing, water skiing, windsurfing,) Fall: Hunting area 62 & 65 & Fall colors tours. Can accommodate 6 (4 adults + 2 children). The cabin has 1 bedroom with queen bed & 2-bunk beds for the kids + pull out sofa in the living room for queen bed for 2. 2 full bathrooms with washer dryer. Full kitchen with breakfast table nook. Fireplace. Cell service-Satellite TV- Internet is not in cabin (available thru cell phone or Wi-Fi in Ridgway /Ouray restaurants & businesses).

Just Fantastic!
The first impression, before we even went into the cabin was the view of Mount Sneffels and the fall colors! This view from the porch is unbeatable. The cabin was super clean, cozy and comfortable. We like to cook and the kitchen is well equipped. The wooden finish on the bartop is incredible. The tile work in the bathrooms and kitchen is first-class. All you need to bring are your clothes and groceries, everything else is there! We loved sitting on the porch listening to the two streams near the cabin. We highly recommend this private retreat, it d be hard to beat. Danny and Carolyn Gaulden

Perfect Mountain Getaway
Coming into the area we met up with Jo. She was the absolute sweetest and showed us to the property, so we didn't get lost as it could get a little confusing. Her cabin was breath of fresh air. It was so clean and perfect size for 2 to 4 people. The bed was beyond comfortable, and slept like babies the entire time we were there. It had two full size bathrooms that were spacious and had exactly what we needed. The property was quiet and had a creek flowing right by it. The skies were incredible at night. We will definitely be back to enjoy her property again! It was a perfect getaway for the two of us.

Beautiful location and clean place
The property owner met us and led us to the house. Beautiful location for scenery right out the front door. Really close to Ouray and Ridgway and lots of hikes. Cleanest rental I have ever stayed at!!

Peaceful Getaway
The cabin was very nice. It was perfect for my husband and myself, but there was plenty of room/beds for more people to stay comfortably. Everything was clean, there were plenty of pots & pans & dishes to cook meals. The view from the front porch was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again!

We loved our stay at Jo’s property. The pictures do not do justice to what a lovely cabin and property this is. Incredibly clean. Updates throughout. Beautiful lot, incredible view from the porch, and everything you need in the cabin. Jo was a great host. We hope to return in the future.

Get stay in Ouray
This property is fantastic and the owner is great. She is very proud of her property and should be. Everything was perfect for the stay and the hose even had some basics that we didn't (like sugar!). The property holds many secrets for the adventuring type with two steams running alongside the house. Perfect location to town. Book this now, or no, don't book it so that I can go again!
