My wife was hurt in a rafting accident. She had asked for the room to be available but ending up waiting for over 2 hours. She was traveling with our 12 year granddaughter. She asked for help getting to their room but no one did. Our granddaughter had to push her in a wheel chair then push the luggage cart ,then push her in the wheel chair then etc. I feel someone could have helped them to their room. And could have had the room ready sooner than over 2 hours. I was very disappointed with the resort.

Michael, I am so sorry to hear about your wife's rafting disaster. I’m sure it didn’t help things that her room was not ready for an arrival as early as she would have preferred. Check-in time is at 4 pm and we were able to get her checked in at 2:30pm. We do make every effort to accommodate early arrivals; however, check-out time is not until 11:00 am and she arrived around 12:30 pm which gives us very little time to prepare the room. I assure you that all of our guests and their expectations are our first priority. I’m sorry we could not meet her expectations on this occasion. I do hope that you give us the opportunity to create a more positive experience in the future.

This is not a resort. At least in the summer time when almost everything is closed. It's a hotel with a pool and a gift shop. Not much else and very disappointed at how misrepresented their website boasts about this place. The bathtub wad filthy and had hair and scum in it. We wanted to ride the chair lift to the summit as we were interested in skiing next season but the lady at the desk did everything she could to talk us out of it because it shut down at 4 and we would only have time to go up once and come back down. We won't be back to ski with them or for another summer vacay. Luckily we only stayed here for one night as we were on a roadtrip scooping out new little towns.

Found a condom wrapper in room!

Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: Air conditioning!! larger pool.
Location: Beautiful lake down the road that the Resort rents paddle boats, boards, kayaks, rock wall and jump/trampoline for kids.
Arrived late, room was hot. Looked around for an extension cord for the fan, found one behind the nightstand..along, with a condom wrapper and a pair of women's eyeglasses!! After finding that, I looked at the sheets and there was hair all over under the pillow. Called the front desk, they sent over maintenance and he changed the entire bedding and brought fresh towels. They were very helpful. Since it was then close to midnight and we had clean sheets, we stayed that night but went ahead and canceled the room for the rest of trip and moved over into the main resort. The room was MUCH nicer, still hot, hot, hot!! NO A/C!! The weather outside was in the 50's, but could never get the room cooled down. The pool was tiny, I think the capacity said 12-16 maybe? Just all around disappointed. Will go back, but will find somewhere else to stay. After finding a condom wrapper and dirty sheets, you'd think the hotel would offer a discount. They did not. They were helpful in finding us another room, but never offered a discount. In fact the new room was more expensive than what we had!

Resort is dated. We stayed in a condo and over all it was ok. It was clean, however wasn't impressed. The sheets had holes in them, blankets appeared to have been washed so many times that they were flat and matted.

Great location.

The lodge is set in a great location! The staff was very friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean, but overall the hotel is in need of renovations and updating. That being said we would still stay here again.

BEAUTIFUL SETTING. a hidden gem.

Pros: The setting is wonderful and the people are very friendly.
Cons: THE OVERALL CLEANLINESS AND MAINTENANCE NEEDS A CONCERTED EFFORT. THIS IS OVER RATED AS A 5 STAR RESORT.
THE TRAVELOCITY DISCOUNT RATE IS THE SAME AS THE WALK IN RATE. the room was less than expected, considering the luxury rating. THE CARPETING WAS SOILED,AND THE BALCONY FLOOR WAS TRACKED IN MUD,PROBABLY FROM SPRING SKIING. I WILL NOT USE TRAVELOCITY IN THE FUTURE..I HAVE HAD EXCELLENT RESULTS WITH MY PRIOR USE OF HOTWIRE,KAYAK,SETC...

Angel Fire Lodge

Pros: Quiet, close to slopes
Cons: No free Internet, lighting in the room
Enjoyed our stay at Angel Fire Lodge. It was excellent for getting on and off the slopes. The Lodge itself is beautiful and the staff helpful. The only thing that we had trouble with was the lighting in the room. It was very dark, even with all the lights on. The lighting in the vanity area was awful. I could not use it to put on my makeup. It made it very hard in the morning and at night. Also, it would have made it a lot easier to have wi fi in the room.

This hotel had amazing service and made it easy to ski with a little one.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
This resort had great hospitality. They allowed us to check in 2 hours early. The staff was always kind and very friendly. Our car battery died and the management sent a maintenance guy over in the late evening to help us jump start our car. The skiing rentals allowed us to return our 3 year old's skins when we realized we had doubled paid due to him already having a rental included in his 3ski program. Family friendly!

The Only Game in Town

Pros: Free Internet, decent breakfast buffet but you have to pay for i.
Stayed here to do the zip line trips they now offer. The resort is out-dated and looks like it had its better days. Rooms are average and the place it nothing to write home about. Too bad there is not much else to chose from in this area. Not worth what we paid for it.

not air conditioned, had to open window and use provided fan (still hot). Lock on door could be opened with butter knife. Dark and real old looking.

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: lots and lots
This is not a place you want to stay. It was dark, not air conditioned (had to open window and use provided fan and that did not really work well, needed paint, chair was falling apart and did not feel clean. This might be great if you are a ski bum and all you want is place to hang your gear, but otherwise forget it. P.S.: This was listed as a 5 or 4 star (maybe back in the 50's or 60's). Have travel wide and far and have not experienced this bad in a long time as compared to what rated. More like a 1 or poor 2. This will be one of the travel stories we have and laugh about in the future. All the other hotels were great on this 12 day trip. Good luck
