WAY overpriced for PSU commencement weekend, horribly musty smelling room, skimpy supplies (towels, shampoo, etc.) , tiny tv, sink and bathtub drains broken, and bathroom badly needs redoing. Staff were friendly but unprofessional. .

When I checked in I was asked if I wanted to join the Choice Hotels program. I said no. He tried to convince me and again I said no. Then he started asking me a bunch of information (email, etc), which should have already been on my reservation. Turns out, he was signing me up anyway. Now my business email address is flooded with unwanted Choice Hotels emails. I am not happy. No means no!

I book this room back in June and wasn’t allowed to cancel. My plans changed and I didn’t need the room, I called in July to cancel and was unable to. I will not be using travelocity again

That you so much for your comments in regard to your reservation. a lot of times when you get great rates through a 3rd party website they are prepayment no cancel. If you know definitely that you are going to be staying somewhere they are a good deal but as you found out when plans change you can't change the reservation and then you are out the money. In the future if I wasn't sure I was going I would not commit to a no cancel reservation.

Very run down property/old. The room was clean but smelled “old”. Staff was all very nice. The bar was very nice and the food was good. It was overall ok for $100 night.

Alright hotel for the price, but nothing fancy

Hotel is fine, as long as you don't want posh or anything close. It's very outdated, but comfortable. Karen, the front desk clerk is very hospitable. There's no breakfast, but the restaurant in the hotel is very good.

Happy Volley

Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Maintenance and upkeep
Location: There's a Giant Supermarket just minutes away that's open 24 hours which was really helpful as the Happy Volley schedule is early/late.
The hotel is convenient. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our room was fine, but one mattress in the room had a pretty significant sag in it, so we used the other bed. The room was fine, but the air conditioning sounded like there was a generator running in the room, very noisy. Not a bad place, but not for that cost, needs some updating and some fixes, but you'll get rest there.

very disgusting!

Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, Noisy, Poor breakfast, internet wasnt working, everything, disgusting, not nice people at all
they have lots of bugs and spiders. even found them in the bed, housekeeping is awful. probably because of who it is ran by. i overheard another calling one "tammy" who was speaking awful to her emplyees because i called and she was acually to be in charge???????????? WOW, someone better fix the problems back there and fast. board of health will probably shut you down. treat your employees with respect and get with the program. oh and yeah get rid of tammy. who do you think you are?????????????

this hotel is disgusting, do not stay there and they treat their employees very unfair

Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, Noisy, Poor breakfast, internet not working, rude
there are many bugs and spiders, even in the beds they were found. maintenance seemed nice but housekeeping is very poor. especially someone i heard someone else call tammy. learn some manners. i called and you are to be a leader??? i stayed a few months ago and things seemed ok and now they are not. do not stay there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wouldnt be surprised if they dont get shut down by the board of health and treatment of emplyees. its sad, i dont feel this place will stay open long!!

Nice, but needs maintenance

The rooms could use a little facelift especially the bathtub area when the caulking was discolored and cracked a fixtures were old. Restaurant was very pleasant rooms comfortable.
