Cozy modern cabin - the squirrel's nest

Centrally located within 30 minutes to Charlottesville, Harrisonburg and Madison, VA. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, fully equipped kitchen, linens are changed between guests, multiple outdoor spaces. NO INTERNET! There is minimal cell service pending provider. Not recommended for small children. Dogs only, $100.00 pet fee. Please bring their food & water bowls and do not allow on furniture. Please walk your dog away from the cabin to allow them to use the restroom. HOT TUB IS FIXED!!!

Cozy Cabin
We had a great time staying at the Squirrel’s Nest. The location is secluded but still only 15 minutes away from Shenandoah. The cabin was warm & cozy and a perfect escape from everyday life. Hot tub was a plus!

Wonderful Spot!
My wife and I stayed at "The Squirrel's Nest" on a weekend getaway. We had a wonderful time. The home is adorable, cozy, clean, and comfortable. The view is gorgeous. We visited in the late fall so it was a bit chilly to sit on the deck, but it would be a perfect spot for morning coffee. The owners were amazing, and the vacation was restful and relaxing. The surrounding town was quiet and provided plenty to do. We ate at the Lafayette Inn & Restaurant and had an amazing dinner followed by a few drinks back a the Squirrel's Nest. Definately recommend checking this one out!

Fantastic getaway in the woods!
We loved the setting of this cabin, in a beautiful cove of towering trees, the craftsman attention to details in the architecture and decor, the hot tub deck and other decks for communing with nature! It was just exactly what we were looking for, gave us a restful getaway amidst all the activities of graduation weekend in Charlottesville. Very comfortable bed upstairs (we didn't use the downstairs bedroom) , the kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect Secluded Weekend Getaway
The squirrel's nest is exactly what we were hoping for. A secluded place in the mountains very close to Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC) hiking trails and Skyline Drive via the Swift Run Gap park entrance. After a day of hiking, my wife and I enjoyed the hot tub one night and an outdoor camp fire the next. We were able to purchase local meats, eggs, and treats at the Greene Farmers Market in nearby Stanardsville. The house was cozy, well appointed, and eclectic. There were great views from throughout the house and we were able to enjoy viewing the stars at night through the skylight from the bedroom in the loft.

Great and quiet place
We had a great New Year’s Eve here . Everything was clean and worked great. The area was really quiet which is what we wanted , we walked the woods behind the house in the morning , very peaceful . If I had to add something it would be some more cozy blankets 😅 . But I would come back .
