"Wonderful property with beautiful views of the Hudson. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch listening to the waterfall across the street and walking around the Vanderbilt Estate (which is a few minutes up the road). Home is clean and well-stocked, beds are comfy, and there were fresh flowers throughout. Owners are lovely and very responsive with ideas for activities and restaurants. We enjoyed the delicious cider donuts they left for us. Location is great with lots of historical and nature activities nearby, as well as access to grocery stores. Would definitely stay here again. "

"It was nice and new, large room and clean. We ate dinner at the bar. Ordered the steak it was terrible and got the carrot appetizer the bartender raved about, it was terrible as well. Breakfast was very good and the staff was welcoming. Not much around the hotel for other dinning or entertainment options. You’d have to drive."

"I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I paid over $500 for two rooms for two days, expecting at minimum a clean and safe place to stay. I checked in around 7 PM, grabbed my keys, and went straight to work without even looking at the room. When I returned around 5:30 AM, I discovered the room had bed bugs. This is completely unacceptable. Cleanliness and pest control should be the most basic responsibility of any hotel. To make matters worse, after bringing this serious issue to management, they refused to give me a refund. Charging guests premium prices for infested rooms and then refusing to make it right is terrible business practice. I would strongly warn anyone considering staying here to think twice. Save your money, save yourself the stress, and stay somewhere that actually cares about cleanliness and customer service."

"We enjoyed our two night stay at the Journey Inn B & B. The hosts, Valerie and Eric, run a very pleasant inn just opposite the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park. The Inn is friendly and welcoming, breakfast is good, our room was fine."

"The house was perfect for our cousins birthday trip. The attention to detail was amazing. The amenities were excellent. Well stocked kitchen allowed us to easily cook meals . Decor was whimsical yet functional. Mattresses were comfy. Communication with owner was terrific."
