The Neighborhood:
Springside is a cute suburb just 15 minutes drive from the CBD of Orange. Springside offers a relaxing escape whilst still being conveniently located close to town to experience all that Orange has to offer. Once you reach the CBD of Orange, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out, grabbing your morning coffee, walking through the parks, sipping on your favourite drink at a local bar or shopping at our gorgeous boutiques and local homeware spots.
The historic village of Millthorpe is also close by and only a 20 minute drive from the cottage. In Millthorpe you can walk the cobblestone streets, visit the many amazing and eclectic homeware stores and have a bite to eat at an array of restaurants and cafes. Make sure to try the famous hatted restaurant 'Tonic', grab a coffee and some local produce at Providore and try the delicious lunch and sweets at The Old Mill.
Orange and Millthorpe are both home to many wonderful wineries and cellar doors. Slow Wine Co, Angullong and Tamburlaine wines are all in the village of Millthorpe.
Orange wineries are as close as 20 minutes by car. Book your tour or tasting online before you stay!

The house was excellent quality, the only two items needing mention were
- The lamps in the front bedroom, nearest the recreation room were not working, so we swapped one globe with the opposite bedroom, these globes may need to be exchanged.
- We were not able to access the wifi, we followed the trouble shooting tips, as provided, but were unsuccessful. It did not impact on our stay at all.

Peaceful country stay
We had a wonderful time at Gorgeous Country Cottage which truly lived up to its name. The cottage is spacious and beautifully arranged. We found ourselves far enough away from the businesses of the suburbs, nestled amongst the trees and gardens, surrounded by rosellas, king parrots, cattle and sheep - it was peaceful, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. Only 15-minutes away from the centre of Orange and the cottage had everything you needed. The wifi was greatly appreciated especially at night for streaming movies. The great internal spaces also made it easy for disability access which was crucial for our visit. Peter was a great host, communicating what we needed to know throughout our visit and was available if we had any questions. We truly hope to visit again in the future. If you're looking for a rural break then we would highly recommend visiting Gorgeous Country Cottage.

Lovely cottage and location
Beautifully furnished, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space to roam. Quiet location, easy drive to Wineries, Orange and Millthorp. Our family had a lovely time. Recommend.
