It is a beautiful property. Didn’t realize we would have people upstairs that we could hear walking around half the night. It was a bit dusty. As most of my family have dust allergies and it was affecting them.

The Bressmer was lovely, and the perfect place to hold a small family reunion. The Rowland suite had everything we needed- enough space to spread out, a comfortable living room for card games and conversation, a dining room table with plenty of space for family meals. We walked to the Lincoln museum and the Dana-Thomas house, and other sites were a short drive away.

The picnic table in the front yard is looking bad.There are rottening pumpkins by the front porch. Which should have been thrown away last October. The inside was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked. The antiques and furnishings are very nice. This was our 3rd time at Bressmer. And we love it. I hope they can take care of thesesmall things.

Upon Check-in, our room had not been cleaned. The cleaning team was gone for the day. We had to move to a third floor suite. We are both over 70 and had to lug our luggage up two flights of stairs. The next day we moved back down to our first floor suite as planned. The suite was lovely and we enjoyed the stay after the first night.

Very Nice Property

This property is very nice and conventiently located near the historic Abraham Lincoln House, Museum and Presidential Library. The architecture of the home is stunning and the modern touches make it a great place to spend the night. We enjoyed our stay.

It is easy to feel like royalty when staying at the Bressmer house. Amazing and authentic furnishings. A spacious gathering room with couches and a table for games. The dining room seats 8 easily. Easy check in and responsive hosts.

Enjoyable stay. The Bressmer is spacious inside, comfortable and clean. Great location for walking to Abraham Lincoln historic sites. One addition I would make is out door chairs accessibility. In morning or evening would have been nice to have to sit outside. No biggie just a thought. I would highly recommend Bressmer to anyone who is visiting Springfield.

Although my group stay was short…the place was amazing. Vintage historic place that was amazingly upgraded with nice amenities. Location was perfectly located in the heart of Springfield. I would definitely recommend this place to stay if coming to Springfield.

We spent the weekend in the ground floor, and to say it was perfect would be an understatement! Impeccably clean, beautifully up kept, and so incredibly worth it! The Bressmer’s cosy, antique, victorian furnishing were the perfect background to a weekend of memories and laughter. It’s creaky hardwood floors will stay with us for decades on, and we absolutely cannot wait to return and explore even more of its secrets.

The property was very clean and absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for a location that feels like old world charm and the warm comforts of home, choose this. The size is perfect for a group of friends who just want to catch up around the parlor/living room or for a family trip where everyone needs their own room and space. The kitchen was clean and ready to be used for cooking a home prepared meal. The bathrooms were clean and ready for bathtub time if you have young kids who need there nightly bath in their routine. Parking was super convenient and easy. No on street parking...park, walk up to the porch, super easy. We will definitely be visiting again!

A wonderful chance to experience the past

This magnificently maintained property was like a step back in time with the many period furniture features plus all the needed mod cons. Beds were comfortable, location was perfect for touring main Lincoln attractions in Springfield, and the home from home feel was much appreciated.
