We stayed in 116 which was just across the street from the main lobby and my kids loved it. We had our very own onsen and sauna like a private oasis in the mountains. And my kids have severe allergies to most nuts and sesame and the restaurant was more than happy to accommodate our needs. Language was the only barrier but that’s Japan and it’s our fault for not paying more attention to learning the language in another country. Besides that, this is an absolutely escape from the busy life of Tokyo. And if you are adventurous, hike from town to town like the shoguns once did."
