Kamisuwa Onsen Hotel Shinyu
Fantastic stay. Room overlooking the lake was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and always happy to help. The included bus tour of the shrines was a lovely bonus. The option of the included meals was fantastic and the meals we had over our stay were outstanding. Would recommend.

トイレ付きの和室を利用しました。子連れにはトイレ付きで正解でした。どこも清潔感があり快適に利用できました。ご飯も美味しかったです。朝食のパンがとても美味しくて、いつもご飯派の娘も喜んで食べていました。ホテルと違う部分はありますが、とてもリーズナブルですし満足です。わんちゃんも可愛かったです！

Candeo Hotels Chino
If you are a tourist, this place is only accessible by taxi. If you want to take the bus, make sure you do not have luggage as the city busses are very small. The onsen is really the highlight of the place.

HOTEL La fontaine
The room smelt very badly of stale smoke. We booked a standard room, but didn’t realise that this would be “smoking” (maybe this is normal in Japan and it was our mistake?). But it was a terrible experience. Would not recommend this place at all.

Narai-juku Hotel & Travel Guide
You will discover 2 places to stay within a 20-30 minute drive of Narai-juku, however you won't find any within Narai-juku itself.
The Ontake Golf and Resort Hotel, Gifu, which is the closest hotel, is situated 15 miles (25 kilometers) from the heart of downtown Narai-juku. A second handy hotel is the Matsumoto Marunouchi Hotel, which is found in Nagano, about 20 miles (33 kilometers) from the heart of Narai-juku.
The Matsumoto Tokyu REI Hotel is 20 miles (32 kilometers) outside of the town center of Narai-juku. Another hotel is the Dormy Inn Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring, which is about 20 miles (33 kilometers) away. The Premier Hotel-CABIN-Matsumoto along with the Hotel Route-Inn Court Ina are some other Travelocity-listed places to book accommodation in Narai-juku.
Once you and your family have spent some time in Narai-juku, why don't you tour a little further afield? The Chubu vicinity is home to many things to check out. Get around Chubu's ruins. Those wanting to explore some natural spaces should also put aside some time to relish the region's beaches, mountains and active volcanos. In this part of Japan visitors can also enjoy snowboarding.
The nearest places to stay in Matsumoto include Chino and Norikura Plateau. Chino is 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the east of Narai-juku, while Norikura Plateau is 15 miles (24 kilometers) to the east.
