    Situated along Hammersley Inlet, this recently remodeled home offers a peaceful waterfront retreat designed for outdoor fun. Launch a kayak into the open waters from your dock or stroll down to the private beach. Afterwards, relax on your covered deck and catch boats pass by as well as the sight of orcas, seals, and eagles while dinner sizzles on the gas grill. In the evenings, soak in your private hot tub and watch the stars come out over the water. An outdoor fire pit and a grassy area for lawn games provide more outdoor entertainment.

    Inside the two-story home, an open living area and kitchen make it easy for your group to socialize. Large windows invite sunlight and water views into the living area, outfitted with ample seating and a smart TV. Equipped with stainless steel appliances, the modern kitchen features everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals. When it's time to eat, gather at the eight-person bar. After dinner, settle into the downstairs theater room for a movie night or pick out a board game to play in the game room. Additional perks of this home include radiant floor heating and a heated towel rack in the downstairs bathroom.

    Peaceful waterfront home
    We enjoyed relaxing in this home, which fit our family of 8 well. I love all the nautical decor, the beautiful view from the decks, the comfortable seating everywhere. My kids had a blast in the theater room, and we had fun watching the water change with the tides. The harbor seals were so fun to spot, especially for these Texans! The beds weren't the absolute comfiest, or at least the one in the main bedroom wasn't. (It sloped outward and was low to the ground.) But that wasn't a huge deal. The house was clean, other than some sheets that hadn't been washed on the twin beds, and the coffee maker still had grounds in it. (I guess housekeeping overlooked.) But the rest of the house was very clean. Just a note: the kitchen has hidden drawers! It took us awhile to figure that out, and we were perplexed as to how they neglected to provide silverware! Ha. Until my 9 year old spotted the labels at his eye-level, that stated "I'm a drawer!", and we realized each kitchen drawer had a second hidden drawer built in. Hopefully this note will spare the rest of you from our frustration! The kayaks were very fun to use. They are pretty heavy, so it helps to have 2 people get them on/off the rack. The town of Shelton is the nearest area for restaurants/grocery. It's about 17 minutes away, and has a Safeway and some diners. This property is in a quiet, rural area, which we liked. There were lots of houses nearby, but we hardly saw any other people.

    It looks pretty much like the pictures but there were issues that made the experience less enjoyable. Electrical issues kept blowing circuits trying to wash clothes. We had a week of dirty clothes from a cruise and could not wash anything. Informed maintenance but got no response. That lovely fire pit had no gas after the first night—just empty canisters. It’s quiet there but neighbors don’t want you walking the beach.

    Photos don't show the amount of deferred maintenance. We had multiple issues with broken appliances, and in general the house had a lot of wear and tear. Great location and views but needs a deep cleaning and replacement of multiple items.

    Great place for families
    We had a great stay at this property. We had a toddler, teenagers and adults. The house was comfortable for all of us. We enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, games and theatre room. Relaxing and beautiful views. Had to contact property management about a couple things and they were very quick to respond. We did drive into Olympic National park as well, which was farther than I realized but still doable. All in all, would definitely recommend this home.

    What a wonderful welcome! Thank you for the delightful welcome basket. We loved the house and view. Sea lions, seals, fish jumping. The house is big and great for games, puzzles, watching football, movies, etc. We went kayaking the one day it didn't rain. There is nowhere to walk, which we have found to be true at most VRBO homes/ cabins. The check out time of 10am was hard. To get up, packed, and out required too early to get up on vacation. We recommend this home to families! It was a lot of fun.
