Unfortunately the pool was very cold due to a boiler breakdown for all 3 days. The restaurant was hit and miss, the food was ok but it took 1 hour from sitting down to getting any food, we had to remind the staff and it was likely they forgot about our order as the place was empty.

Overall, this hotel is far below the standards we expect from Sandman Hotels in Canada. During our stay, we experienced multiple issues. Each night, the central heating shut down in the middle of the night. The room did not have a hair dryer, there was insufficient coffee provided for the length of our stay, and there was no daily room cleaning service. The pool facilities were cold, outdated, overcrowded, and poorly maintained. The water was not clear, and there appeared to be no enforcement of basic health and safety standards. We observed babies in the pool wearing regular nappies instead of swimming nappies, and guests wearing full-day clothing in both the pool and the sauna. No staff were present to monitor or manage the area. Additionally, at around 3:00 a.m. one night, a large group of cars gathered in front of the hotel, honking continuously and setting off fireworks for over 10 minutes. The situation escalated into what felt like a riot until the police eventually arrived. We would not recommend this hotel. The brand name "Sandman" does not reflect the actual quality or experience of this property.

We had an amazing stay at your hotel. From the moment of check in, we felt very comfortable and welcome. We stayed in the newly refurbished rooms on the 5th floor and it was beautiful, the beds were the comfiest I’ve ever slept in bar my own. The pool is an amazing size and lovely and warm. Definitely will be returning

Room was excellent very modern, spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and shower was amazing! Loved the cozy feel to room with the colour changing mood lighting and enjoyed relaxing in the evening watching the 50in TV! Staff were lovely throughout the hotel and was a lovely bonus being able to use the pool, sauna and steam room! Got this on an amazing deal and as I visit Sheffield a lot will keep eye on deals so I can stay there again! Best hotel ive stayed in, in the area! Was dubious due to Trip advisor reviews but honestly dont know what these people experienced as hotel is outstanding!

Lovely hotel nice and modern. Location is ok. Very pleased that they accommodated our request for a quiet room on night floor. Big comfy bed but the pillows are horrendous like sleeping on a sack of potatoes. Sore neck the day after. Also the bathroom smelt really bad so we had to request some air freshener which we had to keep spraying constantly. They informed that they knew about the issues so I wonder why they still put people in smelly rooms?
