It was amazing! I love the area that it's in it gives you secluded but there's tons around you if you need any necessity's very cozy, nicely decorated and quiet I do think I heard a bear or something walking in the woods later at night only noice i herd even while they were building a house a few 100 yards away. Can't wait to return!

Property was exactly as described. The kitchen was equipped very well and the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was not working when we arrived however, the owners had it fixed immediately once our concern was reported. The view cannot be beat.

We have stayed at this cabin before and it was even better this time. Everything is clean and the view is the best. The driveway is easy to get into and out of and the road up the mountain is moderate compared to others. This is definitely my family’s favorite cabin.

From a breath taking view of the smokies, to a tasty home cooked meal in the comfort of the cabin, every part of the stay was pure bliss. The cabin was clean and well maintained, there was excellent communication between the host, and the view and every little detail in between was perfect. I would love to return and recommend this beautiful getaway to anyone looking for a spot in the smokies!

fantastic views very clean well stocked first of many cabins that we have stayed in that had toiletries included very nice touch loved the option of k cup or brew a pot of coffee visited by bears on several days very short drive to the strip grocery and all attractions would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful family and friend trip at this mountain cabin getaway. The pictures on the website are amazing, but seeing the views in person is simply stunning. Very comfortable and fun space for couples or families looking to unplug and relax. Dinner or coffee on the deck has a real ambience to it. Short, scenic drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. The hosts stayed in communication before and during the visit. The warnings about bears are real, we had a fairly close encounter, but the property and decks are protected well and we felt safe. We would love to visit again someday. 10/10!

We chose this house for our first visit to TN because of the view and interior, and are VERY glad we did.It was perfect for our family of four and everyone had plenty of space to either be together or have some quiet time throughout the week. The two decks were amazing and it literally felt like we were the only house around no matter the time of day or night. Rob was always quick to reply/answer questions from initial booking to the end of the stay and there were no major issues that needed addressing.Not being used to hill/mountain driving, either approach to the house (road is basically a loop) was nerve-wracking the first couple days, but we quickly adjusted and learned to take it slow, watching out for other vehicles coming the other way, etc. After the learning curve, it was absolutely worth it for the view and solitude.I highly recommend this house and Rob as a host. Thanks!

Above the Mist was fantastic! The views are truly incredible. The house was very comfortable for our family of five. The location is also perfect. We spent one day at Dollywood and one day in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and both were short drives. Rob was a wonderful host and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend Above the Mist. 5 stars to be sure!
