"The smell of smoke, even in nonsmoking rooms is tough. The 4th floor hallway smelled like weed. We were given a “nonsmoking” room on the 4th floor that had cigarette burns in the sheets, so we were moved to the 2nd floor. Room was slightly better, but the tv didn’t work, nor the phone. The a/c worked great!! Given the price for one night, I understand the risks, just think Wyndham needs to monitor their properties better."

"The facility and the staff were amazing, but this is NOT a luxury resort. We used one of the three pools and ate at the Marina, which served delicious food, had wonderful service, and had a talented musician playing on the deck. Our meal was perfect and the views were lovely. The issue I had was that I thought I was booking a luxury resort, and paid accordingly, but that is not the case. The first room we were put into was fine, but the neighbor had four dogs locked out on their balcony barking loudly, which woke us up from our nap. The front desk staff was wonderful and moved us into a nicer room with a river view. But when the people in the next room over returned to their room at 1130 PM, they were loud for about an hour. Just keep in mind that this is a luxury resort where people live full time and some of them are ill-mannered and trashy and the resort can't do anything about it. It is an odd juxtaposition that wasn't the vibe I was looking for."

"I have never in my life left a review for anything but I feel the need to warn others about this place. This was one of the dirtiest and dingiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Breakfast was gross. Carpet was disgusting and stained. Curtains were torn. WiFi never worked. Even the laminate floors were stained. I didn’t even know it was possible to stain laminate flooring. Save your money. Stay somewhere else."

"We had a small issue when we got to our first unit. Apparently housekeeping had reported the air conditioning wasn’t working, but we were still checked into the unit anyway and we were met by the maintenance tech when we were unpacking our car. We switched to a second unit which was perfect, except the phone in the unit didn’t work, so we had to call from ours cell phones, which wasn’t that big of a deal. The paper they gave us at check in with hours of the activity center (and on the QR code you scan in your unit) were incorrect, we walked in 10 min before 6 and the young lady told us, yeah we have been trying to communicate with them, but I’ve only been here 2 weeks. All in all, this is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here and honestly haven’t had any true issues that won’t bring me back the next time I come to Williamsburg. Staff is super friendly, pools are clean, and the units are spacious. I will say, the pull out side beds need some kind of an update, my oldest wouldn’t even sleep on the bed part and just slept on the actual sofa for the few days we were there."
