We are not permanently, the crystal spa which is located on the property has been permanently closed. However, the hotel itself remains open through the end of October.

When I arrived at 2pm I saw two women house keepers chatting with one another for approx 30 min in front of a room then making cell phone calls. When i asked them if I was able to check in yet they told me, "not until 4pm, we had a full house lastnight and there's only 4 of us". So I left and went into town to get something to eat. When i returned at 3pm they were already renting rooms out to people who had just arrived to the motel with no reservation. Upon arrival to my room I found a womans sport bra in the desk and a half eaten bag of chips in the dresser. The room was filthy even though the staff had from 11am till 3 pm to clean them. Upon returning to the motel room from a concert, at approx. 11 pm I found the floor of my room soaking wet, as water seeped in from the outside wall. This is also where the heating and a/c unit was so we could not use that for fear of starting an electric fire. When I went to the office to speak to someone, I found it was not staffed at all, and upon calling the number provided on the door, found that no one answers this call, nor did they return my call after leaving 3 messages. After returning to my room and getting a few hrs of the worst sleep in my life, I left the room to drive the 3 hrs home, well before checkout time. I am 36 years old have done plenty of traveling in my life. This is easily the worst experience I have ever had with staying in a hotel/motel. I wouldn't stay here again if someone paid me to.

Disappointing Hotel

Location: Relaxing location ,main town coffee shops , restaurants , clubs , sports bars , Horse stuff , museums , antique shops , movie theater .
Hotel set up in a " U " shape with the customer lobby in the center , sign posted on the lobby door " Lobby open 9 am to 10 pm " , however the lobby was kept locked an no one to be found , tried calling hotel phone number posted for lobby recorder comes on to leave a message , no one called me back , made 3 calls no answer , sign also posted to " Check out lock the room and leave the key in the room ", Another sign posted " In emergency call 911 " . There is a Spa of some sort at the entrance to the parking lot ( the owner owns Hotel & Spa ) i went in there and the young woman ( very nice ) was able to get in touch with the owner so I could check in at arrival . The Room needs to be renovated , Floor is not level warped , shower caulking mold , doors need painting = dirty and black scuff marks , brown hairs found on sheets on one of the beds ( room had 3 beds ) A/C units vents very dusty , ash tray on outside top of a/c unit . I wanted a receipt , i left a letter with the woman in the Spa to pass on to the owner i never got one .Two other customers were also complaining .

Greatest price in the immediate area of racetrack.

If your not looking for fancy, but affordability without sacrificing all comforts, then this is the best option. Pleasant, cordial staff and a clean air condition room. Bring your own toiletries including hair dryer. Overall, we would stay here again next year!

Run by Amateurs?

Pros: The bath tub. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Almost everything.
Location: Good location, just outside the center of town.
Two stars is probably overly generous. But there were signs they were trying to improve. Our room was dark, with very sparse amenities. One wall was brick (OK) but the other walls had cheap dark wood paneling. There was no phone or clock. There were no glasses in the bathroom. (Plastic would have been OK, but there were none.) There were signs that the bathroom had not been adequately cleaned. The grounds were not adequately maintained. I felt sorry for the desk clerk, as she valiantly tried to check people in while at the same time trying to handle multiple complaints. She seemed to be the only employee present at the time.

Description not accurate.

Cons: The description of the hotel.
This hotel advertised the Grand suite as having four bedrooms when in reality it was four beds in one room. Very poor business!

Stay away

Pros: Mattresses and linens
Cons: Put someone in the lobby during posted hours
Location: Great little town
The lobby was supposed to be open from 9am to 10pm. I got there at about 9:30pm, lobby was closed so I called the posted number and someone came around after a couple minutes. The next morning several of us were milling around the lobby at 9:30am trying to check out, nobody there. I had to go so I put the keys in the room and took off. Of course, my son left his watch in the room so I called the number again, and again, and again. No answer. I spoke to the nice ladies in the spa and they were able to get in touch with someone, said they would be there in 15 minutes. I left and picked the watch up the next day. Mattresses, box springs and linens were new and clean, but the room smelled bad and was pretty outdated. I'd save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
