I would stay here again, need some fixing though

My stay at La Sebastiana was nice, breakfast was very tasty especially the croissant (I am French and certified these are great!). 2 concerns, at check out the place was super loud as it was morning time and guests were having breakfast, they should have a separate room to check in guest especially when they have flown 17 hours to visit... Also there is a VERY BAD isolation, I had 2 large windows in my room leading to the balcony, and they were not connecting...so yes I slept the night with my window unlocked, I noticed on the day I left... Also the isolation in the bathroom is very poor so it was a little frio when I was getting under the shower. Besides this, the bed was very comfortable and the little kitchen helped store water.

It was the best-furnished hotel that I have ever stayed at. I didn't have time to utilize 'apart-hotel' aspects of the room, but it would have made a great temporary home.

Close to everything.

We were very pleased with the room and services. The front desk staff spoke some English and were more than willing to help and provide direction on places to visit. The rooms were neat and clean - larger than we expected, but smaller than "North American" sizes. The complimentary breakfast was AMAZING! They had fruit, meat and cheese, scrambled eggs and many pasteries & sweets. If you wanted a nice raspberry cheese cake for breakfast this is the place :) It is close to the metro (subway) system which made it easy to get around the city. It was close to a shopping mall - so if you need a McDonald's fix it is there. The best part is it is near the best ice cream ever - Fragola's. You need to try the ice cream! On arrival - they gladly stored our suitcases until check in and on departure - they again stored our luggage until it was time to leave for the airport.

A good place and better value.

Other than a little hard to find (the door with the name of the hotel is locked, access is the door just to right), the hotel is good. Limited, but good breakfast was included. Room was large and clean. Wireless Internet worked fine. Close to Tobalaba metro station and Costanera Center.

The building is shared by more than one hotel!

The information on this "hotel" is totally misleading. The hotel, from the outside, hardly looks to the picture they show, only the front of the restaurant. The rest is just an average apartment building. They say the hotel is in San Sebastian 2727. Well, no. You enter the rooms and even the reception through San Sebastian 2711 (next door). The hotel shares the building with at least one aparhotel called "Aconcagua Suites". They make you think "La Sebastiana" is a small charming hotel, but it is not. The elevators are very old, noisy and they break. The bathroom is tiny. You hardly fit in. The towels are old and do not even fit in the bathroom. The cafeteria is crowded. To many tables in a small space. The hotel staff is badly trained and dressed. I told them I was going to post a bad review and they told me "I was free to do whatever I wanted". Well, here I go. I asked them why they advertise an address for the hotel and you use a different address to access the building and they responded that "It is the same". Well, it is not. They charge during week days close to $400 usd per night. This is a 4-5 star or boutique hotel rate. The hotel hardly is a 2 star place. One of my worst experiences in Santiago. They lie and confuse the customer. Their offer is not honest. This is what really bothers me.
