We traveled with 2 kids the stay was okay ! People were okay two of them did stand out more than others Fransisco and Jose at the pool bar. It was very disappointing to know we could only get in the buffet in the mornings because we didnt update our stay to a Preffered member when we paid a really good money for each night but were not allowed in the restaurants during breakfast or lunch time. The food wasnt good either and took so long for the service. Also they dont have a menu at the pool nor the beach area which sucks since we're use to relaxing and ordering food or drinks while enjoying our time. I enjoyed The DR and the beach but not worth what we paid for AT ALL!

To Management of Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa, I am writing to formally express my serious dissatisfaction with my recent stay. My experience fell far below the standards reasonably expected from a resort of your reputation. Many staff members appeared unhappy, unwelcoming, and unwilling to provide basic hospitality. Simple requests were met with attitude and lack of professionalism. Despite remaining respectful and tipping consistently, the level of service did not improve, which reflects poorly on staff training and management oversight. A major issue was the complete lack of pool towels after approximately 5:00 PM. Denying guests essential amenities while the pool remains open is unreasonable and gives the impression guests are being forced to leave early due to poor operational planning. I was also frustrated by the strict smoking restriction on private balconies. While I respect the no-smoking rule inside rooms, prohibiting smoking in an open, private outdoor space is excessive and should be clearly disclosed before booking. There were multiple power outages during my stay, causing repeated inconvenience and raising concerns about infrastructure reliability and guest comfort. Most concerning was the rude and dismissive behavior of the water park staff toward my daughter and brothers, which created an upsetting and unacceptable situation for my family at what is advertised as a family-friendly resort. Overall, this experience was deeply disappointing

My rooms was very clean, the staff was great. They were warm, pleasant and eager to serve without being annoying or overly friendly. Room amenities were natural and just nice. The entire resort is beautiful. The beach is wonderful and the pools are spectacular. Food was good and fresh. Daytime activities were fun but I must say this. They need to add after dinner entertainment not just a saloon style pool hall and bar. They need an early dance hour to give early birds an opportunity to dance Bachata, Salsa and Merengue…like other resorts…local music from 7-9 outdoors. Not everyone wants to start at 11 pm. Some of us want to sleep by midnight and be up early to enjoy the morning beach or excursions. Otherwise, this is a great resort.

The property is very beautiful and everything was pretty walkable… The only thing I would say is that in our room, which was beautiful had super high ceilings, but not much lighting would’ve liked to have had a little more lighting in the room.,,,, Otherwise it was beautiful also make sure you check out the waterpark. We did not get a chance to cause we found out about it on the last day.

If you take “all exclusive”, it is bogus as they will ask you to pay for membership to access few lounges, pools and restaurants. How is that all exclusive??

Courtesy was the best, from every single staff member I encountered. There were some little bits of the room that were not impeccably clean but I am pretty happy with the room. I think it is great to be able to go between the two areas of the resort as I was traveling alone. My big issue was with Expedia and Hyatt Corp levels as there is a lot of confusion with the name of the resorts that are literally on the same beach. My friend sent me a link for Dreams via Expedia and I was only able to book Dreams resort, however. My friends who I was meeting on the trip were actually at Dreams Dominicus. It caused a lot of stress for both parties to coordinate meeting up without getting a big hassle at the gates and front lobby areas. Not only that, we had to pay additional fees to meet at the other resort instead of the hotels helping us get together or even change our hotel to the other since they’re both owned by Hyatt it was a bit of a pain and extra expenses that none of us planned on. My suggestion is to change the name or when booking through third parties like Expedia make it more clear somehow.

Nice property but it was missing a few important pieces which would have made it 5 star. None of the pools were heated and the kids clubs were tiny rooms with no organised or age appropriate activities for those kids in the club. These are basic improvements that should be made to an otherwise nice resort.

Went with kids as a family of 5 and everyone had a great time! The staff is amazing, polite, attentive, and just kind all around!! Our housekeeper was great aswell and the room was super clean! Excited to go back!
