clean, friendly, staff on the ball. Water went out one day but could happen anywhere, fixed quickly. All good , I would go back again and plan to. On a little mountain in Piedades de Santa Ana, very quiet for being in active area. Fantastic view of the valley. The 4 Seasons it's not,Maybe A types should move along to Conchal ,Flamingo or Los Suenos in Herradura. BTW, half a mile to 27 ( new road to beach) and if you know the back way to SJO save 30 minutes and mucho traffic and stress.

We are more than glad that you had a great stay, as always our staff will go out of their way to make your stay the most enjoyable possible, we are sorry for the inconvenient with the water but it almost never happens. We are located 500 meters from the main high way to the pacific and coming from the back in the way to down town San Jose, tuck up in a very quiet place and fantastic views, also very strategic location to the airport. We are glad to hear that you will be back, we look forward to.

All the staff was very kind and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were great - pool was refreshing - room was huge! With all that space a couch would have been nice but very clean and comfortable. This was definitely the most beautiful property we stayed at thrughout our trip in costa rica - the landscaping, rooms, furniture all the little details were beautiful!

This is a cute, off the beaten path, hotel. It’s tucked away on a hill overlooking beautiful mountains in the background and at night you’ll see the lights of The city. The hotel has a restaurant with a variety of food options (lasagna, burrito, nachos, quesadilla) as well as breakfast. There are beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the place and you can walk around safely. The staff is bilingual and friendly. The room has a television and safe. There is no air conditioning, but with the windows open at night the breeze feels great. We went on our trip in December and the weather was in the 80s during the day and 70s 60s at night. There are no close shops or restaurants, but there is a small grocery store to get water, snacks, drinks etc. if you walk down the hill, take a right, and walk about five minutes. The hotel does have a security gate. We also went on some tours that the hotel arranged for us- La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Irazu volcano. There’s a long list of different tours you can do. Just a warning, during perk tourism the traffic is CRAZY. Be prepared to be in the tour bus for a while. The hotel arranged a taxi to and from the airport. I’ve also heard that people will Uber as well. Overall, great experience!

A jewel amidst urban chaos

Pros: Attractive architecture, tropical greenery, staff, food on location. Great place to unwind! Much prettier and more charming than the photos.
Cons: I would have liked a better mattress (but I'm 65 and recovering from injuries). I would have liked better reading light.
Location: Because San Jose had no allure for us, we were content to lounge on the unique outdoor wooden "beds" surrounding the pool.
We chose to stay in San Jose briefly before we headed out to other areas of Costa Rica. The drive to our car rental and eventually to the Hotel Posada was a traffic nightmare, but was immediately forgotten when we arrived at our destination. Hotel Posada is a beautiful, peaceful oasis that seems far away from urban influences. Its hillside location is surrounded by lush greenery and is landscaped with flowering plants. Very quiet. Wonderful staff. Very reasonably priced. Great tropical cocktails, not overly sweet (my preference). We enjoyed our brief stay very much and would have liked to stay longer!

Dental Vacation in Paradise

Pros: The staff was phenomenal. Service was as good if not better then a 5 star resort. Gorgeous environment. Tropical paradise in the middle of the city
Location: Centrally located within Costa Rica. Could easily plan day trips to both sides of the island.
Gorgeous retreat atop of the mountain in Sana Anna Costa Rica. Night views of the city lights. Tropical paradise inside. Wicker beds and swings poolside. EXTREMELY friendly and helpful staff. This is a hidden dream and reasonable in price. Staff will go out of their way to help you with all your needs or questions. Drew out bus route maps to get me wherever I wanted to go. Elizabeth the day manager was great. Helped plan excursions, brought me a fan and a mini refrigerator for my room. The night staff had a fresh brewed pot of coffee waiting for me when I went out early before the kitchen opened. Would DEFINATELY recommend.
