Ideally located in Lower Pacific Heights just 2 blocks from vibrant Fillmore Street’s world class restaurants & boutiques. 2 bedroom 1 bath lower unit with large living area and kitchenette in an historic Victorian home built in 1879. Walk to Lafayette & Alta Plaza parks. Close to bus lines. Easy access to Union Square, financial district, SOMA, Golden Gate Park & Sacramento St. corridor.

The place
The apartment is accessed with a keyless pad through our garage and down an exterior garden stairway. The unit itself is accessed by a private entrance, but we do park in the garage so you will need to come and go through this common space. The apartment can accommodate up to four people comfortably. Living-room is spacious, with a luscious carpet and a cool-chic feel, big screen TV and huge built-in sofa that's great for lounging and getting comfortable after a long day of site seeing or work.

What you get
For guest comfort, apartment has a kitchenette with a coffee maker and a mini-fridge. For business travelers our place has a comfortable work desk & high speed internet. Master bedroom features a comfortable queen size bed with brand new linens, desk and armoire. Second bedroom has two comfortable twin beds with a desk and chest of drawers. For avid readers we have lots of great books!

Nice appartment.

The appartment was extremely clean and in a great location. The common area was very large with a huge cushioned bench and basic poang type chairs. Beds were comfortable and shower had very good water pressure. Only a few things prevented me from giving it 5 stars. 1) The listing amenities says "on-site parking". This is not accurate. You have to park on the street or in a parking garage a few blocks away. 2) As other reviews have mentioned- "kitchenette" means a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There is no sink or freezer. Frozen food and ice packs that we brought from our previous Air BnB stop, melted. We were able to refill our water bottles in the bathroom sink but it took a little time using a cup to transfer the water. 3) It is a bit loud. We could hear footsteps, doorbell, and voices from the floor above. They didn't keep us from sleeping but a few times we jumped when something was dropped on the floor.

Stylish Comfort in Upscale Area

Stayed at this great property for a mother-sons trip with my 2 young adult sons and it was perfect in every way! The large living area allowed us a fantastic area to enjoy one another. We could spread out, relax, talk, watch movies, read, etc when we weren’t out & about exploring the city. The location of the apartment could not be better: within short walking distance to small grocery marts, coffee shops, and lots of eateries on Fillmore & in Japantown. Both bedrooms provide very nice bedding & comfortable mattresses. The 1 bathroom was adequate for our group of 3 and my sons commented on the “good shower” that had lots of hot water & good water pressure. There is no kitchen which we knew in advance. The mini refrigerator, coffee maker & microwave were adequate for our needs because we ate most meals out during our excursions around the city. The host is extremely responsive & accommodating. I highly recommend this property!

This VRBO is in an excellent location and we enjoyed the common space area for chatting after a full day out in the city. The beds are a little hard and stiff (maybe time to replace the mattresses soon?) but ultimately didn't detract from our stay or trip. A full day out in the city and walking made it easy to fall asleep at night.

close to Japantown

We wanted to stay near Japantown and this is about as close as you can get!! Walk one block and you are in the center! To access the apartment you have to go through the garage- it is a basement apartment. There really isn't a kitchen-just a "dorm" fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It worked for us since we were just there for 2 nights and planned on eatting out anyway. The apartment is comfortable and clean.
