Great hotel, best so far.

Pros: There is a restaurant in the hotel The Blue Wave . Very nice ,reasonable ,great breakfast . The holtel has a marina on one side and a park on other.
Cons: Night light in bathrooms. That's it.
Location: Close to everything. 3 miles to downtown .
One of the best I've stayed in so far. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our Son just returned from a long navy deployment at sea. We booked a room with a single bed ,the room had a king size bed very nice. Talked to the staff at the front desk to see if we could trade to a regular room with 2 beds. Figured our son would like to sleep in a nice bed after 6 months of sleeping on a 4" mattress. They were really appreciative of our sons service and upgraded our room to a mini suite with 2 beds at no charge, how awesome is that ! The room was huge. Our son got some much needed sleep. The hotel is very quite . The grounds ,very pretty. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We will stay there again.

Wonderful hotel overlooking San Diego bay

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, excellent restaurant. Loved walking along the bay on a nice sidewalk overlooking San Diego bay. All in all, perfect!
Location: Nothing! They don't have teabags in the room with coffee and decaf, but within minutes of my asking the front desk about it, they delivered teabags.
This hotel was a perfect stay after we finished a cruise. I only wish we could have been there longer. It's on Shelter Island, overlooking the Bay, with views of downtown San Diego. Extremely good staff, friendly and helpful. Nice room on the bay side, although you can also face the marina behind. The restaurant had delicious food. Nice pool, although we did not use it. I would definitely go back!

Perfect and Relaxing

Great hotel staff throughout, Torry took care of my check-in and was excellent ! Beautiful location and the view is outstanding. Room was very clean and very comfortable beds.

Very nice place to call home away from home.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: We have no recommendations at this time.
Location: There are numerous eateries near by less than a mile. Close to airport and rental cars not too much traffic too. Traffic in SD is very congested.
My wife and I have come to return to this property year after year with always the same service and quality. The front desk clerk always knows us and has our room choice ready. At this visit in December of 2015 the main pool and hot tub were being maintained (resurfaced) so the pool at the Casa Del Mar building was just fine. The restaurant is a good choice, and if not there are a number of very good eateries near by. We seem to prefer the marina side but the bay side is Ok, but the helicopters at the navy base on Coronado island (not really an island now) may be a bit noisy at times. However its your choice. They have some bungalows that are just one story with no one above you and we recommend these if noise above you is a issue. There are no elevators for the rooms just a handicapped lift in the lobby for access to the restaurant. Parking for the Casa Del Mar area is accessed from the lobby area and there are a number of exit gates along the street. We love this location as it is away from the downtown hustle!

A very nice hotel with great hotel facilities.

Pros: Our room was very well located (Just accross the pool and the pier) and with all the confort.
Cons: I don't see anything
Location: The pier is just accross and it is easy to have a walk on the bank/
This hotel is very well located and has great facilities.
