Great Home-Away-From-Home...
My visit to Karabük / Safrabolu was for business - my wife came along and did the 'sightseeing & shopping'. Both of really loved the 'feel' and hospitality of the Safir Konak - the way it brought the local community together (lots of people come to 'eat n meet' in the bar / restaurant) with a lovely place to stay for visitors. The rooms were lovely - we got the 'honeymoom suite' (Gein Odası) though we've been married for 30 years ;-) The staff were warm, polite and attentive - not the same as slick, over-professional staff in many of the hi-profile chain hotels but better in so many other respects. We'll be back...

Leuk hoteltje met een erg leuke romantische tuin.

Nereden baslamali bilmem ki. Onlarca hotels.com konaklamamizin en kotusuydu ne yazik ki. 1. Seyahatimizden bir gece once otelden aranarak bir hata yapilmis oldugunu magdur olmamamiz icin gelmememizin daha iyi olacagini zira bize oda veremeyceklerini soylediler. Kendilerine tam 1 ay once geri odemesiz fiyattan odami satin almis oldugumu soyleyerek konfirmasyon bilgilerimi ilettim ve her ne olursa olsun gelecegimizi bildurdim. 2. Ertesi gun otele ulastigimizda bize tek bir kucuk penceresi olan karanlik ve nemli bir oda verildi. Bu odanin fotograftakilerle en ufak bir benzerligi yoktu. Ancak bu sorunlar aksam karsilasacaklarimizin yaninda hic bir seymis megerse. 3. Aksam 8 gibi odamiza dondugumuzde bahcede oldukca yuksek tonda canlu muzik ve onlarca konuk oldugunu gorduk. Ne yazik ki odamiz da bu bahceye bakiyordu. Tek hava kaynagimiz olan kucuk penceremizi kapamak dahi gurultu ve ugultuyu engellemeye yetmedi. Gecenin gec saatlerine kadar havasiz nemli ve gurultulu bir odada uyumaya calistik. Ertesi gece yoktur diye umuyorduk ama ne yazik ki gene ayni durumla karsilastik. 3. Bilmenizde fayda var. Oda temizligi ve havlu degisimi istrnmeden yapilmiyor. 4. Sonuc olarak en kotu tatilimizden kacarak donduk.

Feel like home.
The people are suuuuuper nice, treat you like their family. The house are amazing, really love the style and all the decorations. They help us many times, we just couldn't appreciate more. This is my best hotel experience, I'm really glad that I make good choice.
