The hotel agreed to a late check in (in writing) but when we arrived had given our rooms away, leaving us stranded at 3:30am
As the hotel booking and the written guarantee were all done through hotels.com, we asked them to help us book a new hotel. They told us that they couldn’t get a hotel at that time and left us to sort it out ourselves, which took five hours of going door to door till we finally found a hotel that took pity on us.
All this taking place in the middle of a very bad storm.
Shocking behaviour by the hotel but more importantly hotels.com
I have had to tone down this review as hotels.com refused to publish the original.
