Pine Squirrel is an adorable one-bedroom cabin with a king bed and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Great for 2-4 people! This Cabin features a full compact kitchen, covered front porch, plus has an area in the back with a grill and picnic table. You'll love the bright red antique fireplace in this one for warmth and ambiance. There is a full bathroom with stand-up shower, toilet and sink. This cabin also has a good-sized living room and dining area with table and chairs. Pine Squirrel is one of the original "Mountain Air Cabins" built in the 1940's as a logging camp and converted to rentals sometime in the mid-to-late 1950's. We have tried to preserve the vintage charm alive in these cabins by keeping the antique fireplaces and kitchenette sets. The vintage stove and oven combo still work great. This cabin is located in the Upper Canyon, just a short walk away from the Rio Ruidoso. Wildlife is never far away… here you will see deer, turkey, elk, and in the warmer months, you may even see a black bear! Most times you can hear the river from the front porch!
