This is really more a grand home than a hotel. The common rooms are lavishly furnished with 400 year old tapestries, antiques, art. There are seldom other guests around and we felt like we were staying in a very wealthy friend's home. If you love woodwork, this place has an amazing amount of incredibly intricate millwork. It was a good location for exploring the classic Rome sites - Forum, coliseum, etc. We really loved Spalletti and would return.
