Terrible experience. The front desk kept our passports at check-in. When we checked out, they claimed they already gave them back and rudely denied having them. Instead of helping us or showing compassion, they blamed us and told us to search our bags. This mix-up left us stranded in Italy for an extra day. While we take responsibility for leaving our documents with them, their unprofessional behavior and lack of support were unacceptable. Additional warning: Avoid rooms facing the fountain, as people scream outside 24/7.

This was my third time staying at Hotel Fontana and it is my absolute FAVORITE hotel in Rome. Breakfast is delicious, the beds are comfortable and it is directly in front of the Trevi Fountain, making it the perfect central point in Rome. Every single person that works there is so kind, especially Maria upstairs. We will continue to come back to this hotel every time we stay in Rome! Don't forget to order a Limoncello Spritz from the bar upstairs!
