Everyone was very nice and tried to be as helpful as they could be

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
A bit out of the way in a residential neighborhood, but fairly easy access to a city bus or a 10 minute walk to the sub-way train into the heart of Rome and we found the train system very easy to navigate and inexpensive transportation. They had a nice Happy Hour snack table and the barman was very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was complete and very tasty with a lot of options. I would stay here again.

Very good value in a somewhat inconvenient location

Pros: Free breakfast
This hotel was fairly nice. Modern, clean, comfortable, affordable. But it is in nowheresville. It wasn't even on the map of our travel guide. Its location is in an urban area full of high rise apartments, poor quality restaurants, and auto body shops, and it is far away from anything a tourist would want to see. I would not be caught dead walking around that neighborhood after dark, very sketchy. There is a train station nearby (Roma Tuscolana - about 300 meters away), which can get you to the airport or to the Termini station, but the train we took was about a half kilometer away from the main train platforms, so it is a bit of a hike. There are a couple of metro stations somewhat in the vicinity too (Ponte Lungo and Furio Camillo - both about about 600 meters away). Free breakfast was nice and substantial. Internet was not free. Our floor had a few steps to take our luggage down/back up. I'm not sure about other floors, but may not be very accessible for those in wheelchairs. We only stayed one night here at the end of our trip because we had an early flight and the train station was convenient to the airport. Given our specific circumstances, I was happy, but I could see many people being dissatisfied due to the location.

Stay Somewhere Else

A few aspects of the hotel were good. Great breakfast and nice hotel staff. The upkeep and room quality were sorely lacking. It was right next to the train station, so very noisy. Ripped and stained carpets in the room and through the halls, the bedding had a strange odor and there were several different mold cultures growing in the shower. I've always had great luck with Holiday Inns, so this was disappointing. There is no way I would stay here again.

pleasant stay

Hotel was very clean and staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good, a lot to choose from and there was a staff member present to attend to any needs. Would definately stay here again.

Cheap, great breakfast

Overall the hotel was very good with respect to amenities like clean bathrooms, beds etc. We had one double bed and one sofa bed the size of a double bed, so we slept four in one room. Not much space in the room but we understand that European hotel accomodations are not very spacious. Do not take huge suitcases as there is no space to put them. No closets either but there was a space to hang clothes. The continental breakfast was great. Lots of meat, cakes, fruit, eggs, bacon, cereal, bread, croissants, cheese, juice, coffee and tea. The staff were friendly and answered our questions and gave directions. The only drawback (if you can call it that!) was the 3 block walk to the metro station or the bus stop. However, it was not a hardship unless it was raining and you had no umbrella. Also the nearest eating place is about a block from the hotel. Not too many of them but we did find a great deli which also had cooked food about two blocks from the hotel. Altogether a good experience!

OK hotel but can be noisy

There simply may be no decent, reasonably priced hotels in Rome, so let?s abandon any discussion of value for price. Here at least the rooms are light, clean and reasonably sized, though lacking any drawers for your clothes. The breakfast is nice and substantial, including espresso or capuchino to order. Hotel is locatec in a residential neighborhood outside the old Roman walls, but 20-30 minutes by bus to Colosseum, Forum, Piazza Venezia, etc, or 15 minute walk to the Metro with connections throughout the city. But on the other hand - Most rooms front on a courtyard which on our first night was rented out to party celebrating a baptism ? thus we couldn?t sleep until well after midnight. Staff and manager apologized but couldn?t solve the problem. Rooms that don?t front the courtyard are in view (and earshot) of the main train tracks to Termini Station. Staff speak reasonable though not great English, internet is available in the lobby or by unsecure wifi for a modest price. Rooms have phone and TV, no fridge, very limited space to wash clothes. Ventilation/air conditioning is questionable ? we had to rely on the windows, thus more noise.

Good location, near the metro and near great pizza

The room was reasonablly priced and was in a good location. (There was a hair dryer in the room) The motel is within a 5-10 min walk to the metro station. There is an excellent pizzeria about a 5 min walk away. The motel is not a drop off stop for the daily tour groups with "Grey Line Bus Tours" and you will be required to take the bus, metro or taxi back to the motel. It costs 1 Euro for 75 min, per person, or 4 Euros for all day, (much cheaper than a taxi and quicker). The free breakfast in the morning is really good, and it starts at 6:30 which was nice so we could start our day early. It consisted of different juices, milk and coffee. There were eggs and bacon, and other morning pastries such as crossaints. There is a fee everytime you use your phone in the room, (even with an international calling card). There is one computer in the lobby that you can use for internet, it cost $4 Euros per hour. The room service was great, when we needed more towels they came to our room within three min. Booking this room with our flight through travel agency saved us a lot of money and hassel. We would definitly stay at this motel/location again. If we were to have stayed closer to some of the attractions, the cost of the room would have been much higher.

Vacation to Rome

When we first checked in the women at the front desk who checked us in was very rude, but as always you cant let a few bad apples spoil your trip. The rest of the staff was very nice and very helpful. They accommodated all our needs and even let us check out a few hours late due to a late flight. The only downside to this place is it's a few miles from the downtown area 2-3 at most but it makes a big difference when your riding in a cab. The cab drivers try to make an extra buck off of you by taking you the long route. Another downside was our room location. We had a room above the dining facility and it made for a rude awakening every morning when the hotel was serving breakfast. Its an easy fix if you can change room locations. Overall I was very pleased and would stay again!
