"Our 8 night stay at Venetia Palace Hotel"
My wife and I enjoyed our 8 night stay at the Venetia Palace Hotel in late September. The hotel was in a convenient location just 3 blocks away from Termini Station. We walked to Termini Station every day to catch a bus or the metro. This made getting around Rome very easy. The breakfast buffet was excellent. You had various choices of breads, yogurt, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, sausage (looked like a hot dog), cheese, and ham. They had orange juice and a machine that offered hot chocolate, hot water, coffee, expresso, and tea. I could not believe how creamy the hot chocolate was and my wife loved her 2 cups of coffee every day. They have a steam room and sauna which was nice and free to use. You only needed to make a reservation for using it but that was never an issue. They have a Jacuzzi on the 6th floor roof which was nice to use. Wi-Fi was good running at 6Mbps up/down stream when I tested it. There were times it kept disconnecting. Overall it met my needs for general browsing, checking email and skype. I found all the staff to be very friendly and responsive to our needs. We had 2 separate problems with the sink in our room leaking and clogged. The staff quickly addressed both problems. The day before I was leaving I went to pay my hotel taxes. I asked if the breakfast area would have any food at 5:30am. It didn't but they offered me breakfast bags for my wife and I to take to the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

"Everything I wanted"
We checked in early in the morning, staff was very courteous and allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel while we went out for the day. Came back around 6 the same day to check in. They were fast and efficient, very helpful. They offered daily breakfast (quite good). I was very happy with the overall service and accomodations. Called in our restaurant reservations and also confirmed our private car service back to the airport. Small hotel with a lot of class. I would hihgly recommend this place.

"Great hotel"
This hotel only needs two minor tweaks. This four-star hotel needs to either provide a shuttle from the nearby train station or the airport. The shower needs a fixed head on the shower/tub combo. The hotel is spotless. The food is off-the-hook. We strongly recommend getting the breakfast included option. You will not need lunch! The beds are very comfortable and a nice size. There is also good local restaurants within walking distance since the hotel is located in a residential neighborhood.

Hotel Majestic

"Awesome boutique hotel in the middle of everything"
This hotel was really great overall. It was within a short walking distance to many of the sites (Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Villa Borghese). The metro was down the block so you could go further in a few short minutes (Colosseum, Vatican). There were multiple ATM machines a block away. There were many excellent restaurants close by. The staff was very nice and helpful in booking reservations to restaurants and showing you how to get around. Despite the restaurant/bar on the premises and Hard Rock Cafe up the block, the room was very quiet. The decor of the hotel and rooms could be described as antique elegant. Each room even had it's own doorbell. The furniture was mostly white, but very elegant and refined. We considered another hotel near Villa Borghese that seemed to have similar overall ratings, amenities, location, but what tipped us overs the free wi-fi throughout the hotel. Using FaceTime helped to save a lot of money with phone calls home and we had no issues with connectivity inside the room at all. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

"Loved staying at the Aldrovandi!"
Staff were very accommodating at all times, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Room was extremely comfortable and perfectly sized, and the twice-a-day turn down service was much appreciated. My only complaint about the hotel would have to be the Internet service. For business travelers, don't expect Internet to be consistent at all! If at all possible, bring a hotspot with you; you're asking for trouble otherwise. All in all, a wonderful experience, and I will certainly be returning!
