We will stay here again and recommend it
The hotel is central and close to local businesses and restaurants, not far from the Colosseum (10 minute walk). Other points of interest are a little further (about 30+ minutes to the Pantheon, for example) but navigable on foot if you enjoy walking. Important to note that the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station. The area is also safe and quiet. It's a little less busy than the bigger touristy areas. There are many nice restaurants/bars/coffee shops in the area. There is a small, well stocked, supermarket next door.
As a nice surprise, we were assigned a room that had 2 independent bedrooms in one, separated by a door: one bedroom with a king bed, and the other bedroom with 2 twin beds. Needless to say, we had all the space you can wish for. The room was well maintained, with a traditional decor. Most importantly, it was CLEAN. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were good, thick and plenty; hence we slept great.
The bathroom looked to be relatively newly refurbished. It was a little tight- to be expected considering the age of the city and building - but nothing that took away from the overall satisfaction. Yet, the bathroom had all the comforts you need. Air conditioning worked well and was quiet, and we didn't hear much from any guests in the nearby rooms nor from the outside. Street noise, with the windows open, is not bad. The street where the hotel is located is fairly quiet.
Best part of the hotel is the staff: genuine, friendly, helpful.
