Our stay at Harkness was wonderful. However David's rules are in place for a reason. We were unable to put all of our garbage in the garbage can because whomever stayed there before us did not take it to the curb as he requested. A few things I feel would help improve your stay at Hawk's Nest are: the king size bed does sink and I truly feel that needs to be replaced. It was a totally uncomfortable but it was slightly. The other helpful thing would be to have at least a toilet upstairs so that way you wouldn't have to run downstairs all the time to use the bathroom, and the last thing is just to make sure that after each person's stay that everything you provide should be fully stocked based upon how long someone is staying. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time. I would do it again.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Hawks Nest Cabin, easily one of our favorite family trips. Even our 5-year-old loved every minute, which says a lot!Dave was a fantastic host; responsive, welcoming, and clearly thoughtful about every detail. The cabin itself had everything we needed and then some, making it feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The view alone is worth the stay… truly breathtaking and something we never got tired of. It created the perfect setting for a relaxing, unplugged week with family.Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. This is one of those places that sticks with you, and we’ll absolutely be back. Thank you Dave for sharing it with us!
