Crowne Plaza comes through during major snow storm

Pros: The size of the rooms, eating area, location and availability of guest parking.
Cons: The condition of the heating and air system and improve the toilet function.
Location: Restaurants were literally across the parking lot from the hotel and the tournament bowling alley was only a few miles away.
Overall, the hotel stay was great and very accommodating being we were hit with a major snow storm which snowed us in and required us to extend our stay by an extra day. The only complaints I have include the toilet being very loose and rocky when sat upon. The thermostat did not control the heat as the temperature indicated. The room was too cold for my comfort level. In addition the toilet was abnormally loud upon flushing and refilling the tank. The hotel staff handled the situation very professionally and plows were brought in to clear the lot in a very expeditious manner, even though they were snowed in with a hotel full of college athletes.

I will stay here every single time I am in Reading.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, convenient to attractions
I do not want this to sound like an old cliche when I state that this hotel is my home away from home, but definitely feel like it is. I am in Reading 1x /month and although there are less expensive hotels, I prefer to use my Company meal expense and stay here instead. I appreciate that the staff remembers that I like a room next to the workout room. I appreciated when they informed me where the best Christmas shopping was in the area . I must state, overall, I FEEL S A F E in this hotel. That for any traveler is the number one feature whether they realize it or not. My " hats-off" to this hotel and Staff.

Go Elsewhere!

I've stayed here for a number of years, watching the property deteriorate over the years. Of late, I only stay in the tower, as its been refurbished, so it's bearable. The rest of the hotel is stuck in the 70s. On my last trip, I booked a tower room for three nights. Since I'm a frequent traveler, I'm Gold level with Sheraton's program. However, when I checked in, I was not given a tower room. I confirmed I had booked a tower room, and was a Gold level member. I was told they could not accommodate my reservation, booked months before, for three nights in the tower, due to a convention. The room was 70s decor, with paper-thin walls. I could hear full dialogue from the TV in the room next door. The door to the room had a huge gap between the door and the jamb (I could stick my finger through it), so I could also "eavesdrop" on every conversation in the hallway. I went to breakfast (once only--three night stay) in the restaurant for the de rigeur breakfast buffet. The scrambled eggs were swimming in liquid, far too raw to eat. On the up-side, the waitress was very nice. In short, find another hotel in the area. This is not a Sheraton. It's about a 2-star hotel.-

Mother and Daughter Get Away

Last fall I needed a break, so I decided that my mom and I would visit PA. I booked this hotel and have no regrets. The staff was amazing and very helpful, they made sure everything was going as planned. I had made appts for massages which were out of this world, it was a very nice start to the weekend. The food was excellent and very convienent. And we even caught the comedy show. I will definately consider this hotel again.

Nice Hotel

I have visited this hotel two times and everytime I enjoy myself. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is approx. 5 min from the outlets and there are plenty of food options in the vicinity. The only downside is if you are in the rooms on the lower floors there is not elevator so you have to lug all of your luggage down and up flights of steps. But all in all this is a great hotel to stay at.

Comfortable and relaxing

Great hotel. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone staying for a few days in the Reading area. The pool was relaxing and the hotel has a club, a jazz bar and a dining resteraunt. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and eager to answer any questions about the area.

Run do not walk to the nearest exit.

What a dive. I knew they had an indoor pool, but the bonus one in our room from the faulty, unserviceable toilet was a surprise we didn't expect. The mold on the ceiling was the kicker and we moved out as fast as possible.
