Great staff and rooms were comfortable. Just that the approach road is unpaved single car lane and can be tricky to navigate if there is another approaching car.

Balcony view was of some plants. the rooms are pretty old and our bathroom the hot water / cold water didn't work consistently and the front desk person ignored our compliant the 1st day thinking we don't know how to use the faucets so we had to suffer through our 3 day stay with bathroom issues with the family. they eventually gave us some credit for food due to the inconvenience but it was not worth it. 2 of the folks (women) were very nice in management/front desk but one guy was extremely insensitive and rude and not open minded to put himself in our shoes.

We arrived to the hotel after dark, it was a little confusing finding it (wish there were a few more signs), but once we found it, we were very pleased! Staff was very friendly, room was super cute and very clean! The views were absolutely amazing!! We had the free breakfast and it was great. (There was coffee, juice, toast, eggs, plantains, sausage, cereal and fresh fruit) from what I remember…This was our 1st trip to Costa Rica, and we have already booked again to come back. We will be staying here again for sure! Pura Vida!!

Unfortunately we had issues with the key and getting into the room and locking it. We also had a huge ant issue. I was surprised that the room also did not get cleaned in between. We mentioned both issues to the receptionist but were just told that it will be taking care off next day. (Which wasn’t) we managed to get salt from the very nice restaurant stuff to prevent the ants from crawling again into the beds. The view from our room was nice.

This place is a Jim, I was so glad to have booked this hotel. It is a bit up the hill, but the view is phenomenal and the staff was amazing and dedicated to make sure my stay was perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, the air conditioning worked great, the rooms were big with a private patio, the shower was super clean. I definitely recommend and I will go back for sure.

This was a very nice property for our stay in Quepos. The staff were super friendly and helped set up in room massages and excursions. Fabian was a fantastic bartender! The food was delicious. Would stay here again!

We visited on the off season so rooms were cleaned a while ago but they were not maintained. All rooms we tried had bat droppings on the bathrooms. We settled for a room that had only some, unfortunately. The woman at reception was slow and cumbersome with registering us and it took 2 hours back and forth with her asking for much information. View is beautiful and wished things were better. On peak season I would assume things would be cleaner and more streamlined.

We stayed in the two-bedroom villa. It was a little difficult getting to at first but it worked out. We had an enjoyable stay. The staff were great and the restaurant/bar was a good option for convenience, if nothing else. The road up is a bit challenging by U.S. standards but we had a 4X4 SUV. I honestly do not know how anybody drives a sedan. With all the potholes and dirt roads, you would tear up your car. We would stay again at this property.

When we arrived at Hotel Planeta Sano, we were a little surprised by how remote the location seemed. As we had plans for multiple activities, we were worried about having to make the drive repeatedly. The lovely staff helped us book excursions that included transportation, and my worries were solved. The beautiful view each morning and abundant wildlife around made each day a surprise. The staff are all very kind and helpful, the pool is clean fresh and inviting, bar and restaurant served tasty food and drinks, and our room was clean, comfortable and had that amazing view.

The view was amazing, 20 miles of Pacific coastline. The service in the restaurant was excellent and the food for every meal was delicious. The hotel has its own organic farm to source the ingredients for the meals. Note that there is no TV, closet, or place to hang clothes, a factor to consider if you stay long term as I did. The music played at the pool was usually louder than necessary but turned down during meals. (If you call it an ecohotel, you should not be using leaf blowers!) A good location just out of town and not far from the park - take the bus, it's cheap, easy, and convenient, stops just at the bottom of the hill.

It’s a ok place to stay

We traveled as a family in this trip to Quepos. During our stay, the highlight of this hotel was the staff and the food. The staff were very friendly and attentive, we felt we were very welcome there. And the food and drinks were very good! The hotel has plenty of parking space and trees around, so there were butterflies, birds. The ambiance was nice, it was very quiet, and workers kept the property clean. Google map shows the location, so not difficult to find. What disappointing us was the shower water - the hot water came out unstable, sometimes was cold while it was supposed to be hot, so we had to wait for about one to two minutes to get the hot water to come back again, and then after one to two minutes of hot water, the water becomes cold again. In general, this place is ok to stay.

We booked it last minute as our flight got rescheduled. But it turned out to be a surprise! The room is spacious and very clean. Plenty of natural day light. The swimming pool is very nice for kids. The view is fantastic. The breakfast buffet is generous. The front desk staff is friendly. We loved everything about this hotel. Only minor thing I can think of is that the internet connection inside the room can be spotty--you may need to get close to the front door or outside balcony. But hey we're there for vacation, who needs to stick to the phone all the time? Overall I highly recommend it!
