After being harassed to buy a time share and tipping my “concierge” $20 telling him “please just let our family enjoy the time here without trying to sell us things and I’ll tip you $20 per day to make sure we have good service” he suddenly wasn’t around. After trying to make dinner reservations multiple times for the second night he finally responded with reservation details. We went to the restaurant he reserved for us and they said we’re not on the list. I then got a manager and the manager told me someone at the hotel canceled our reservations. I expressed my frustration and he apologized and set us up with another reservation and concierge. Your quality of service received is extremely dependent on heavy tipping which I ended up doing so we would be treated well. The worst part of the whole experience was booking a catamaran snorkeling tour through the hotel. My wife (who is a surgeon that knows how to drink) and I had three beers while on the excursion and she started vomiting uncontrollably while we were on the ride back to the hotel. She couldn’t walk and told me she felt poisoned and was having issues breathing. I carried her to the hotel room and asked the front desk to call the police as I tended to her. They didn’t send anyone! I called multiple times and was transferred to a number that nobody answered. She survived but the hotel did nothing.

Very different from what was advertised on line! The kids area didn’t have a swing like it was Described... everything seemed very plain not enough greenery... and also staff wasn’t the friendliest. Overall not the best for the money!

The Good: The property, the restaurants and the rooms are beautiful. The food is pretty good and fresh, and they use quality alcohol and ingredients. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Nice gym facility. The Bad: The concierge system (but specifically Marggie). The relentless pressure to tip every person for every single service. (sorry, but for the price you pay at this all inclusive, I was not prepared to spend an additional $20+ per day just to get drinks and eat food). Not great for vegetarians. Minor issues possibly due to language barriers. Pool closes early, not much nightlife. Overall our stay was mostly enjoyable; however, if I had to decide whether or not to return I would definitely spend my money elsewhere.
