Nice resort

Pros: Hotel grounds and palm tree throughout
Cons: Updated rooms, add beach and free room service meals
It was a nice resort on the beach, no children at this location, limited restaurants at adult location with best restaurants at location with children, food okay but not great. There was no beach service, room service was extra, considering it was an all-inclusive, and rooms were a little dated, but okay. Very nice resort grounds with lots of palm trees and very friendly staff. Overall nice experience.

Nice resort but not as wonderful as people said

Pros: Adults only, gorgeous beach and nice pool, free trolley ride to sister hotel (which had a casino, restaurants and shops), food wasn't bad.
Cons: RAN OUT OF HOT WATER on multiple mornings. Reservation was for king size bed we got two double beds, Waiting time for excursions too long
Location: The Runners Adventure zipline was GREAT and staff was friendly. Dolphin discovery nice, but I prefer dolphins in their natural habitat vs. a pool
Pros: ADULTS ONLY! Although, the first day we were disappointed to see a couple with small children on the beach.The grounds are kept very clean. There were pool tables & other games on site. Beautiful beach, nice pool (chairs at the pool and beaches were always available!), cute straw hut bars, resort was not too big, easy access to restaurants, access to the sister hotel which is nice and has a casino, stores, and restaurants. The food overall wasn’t terrible considering it was all included and there was quite a selection! The fresh salmon and capers, tropical fruits, coffee, and the omelet station for breakfast were the best! Free bottles of water included at the resort. The resort had entertainment by the pool during the day & a giant bubble maker that produced tons of bubble in the pool (fun!).

Beautiful Hotel and Beach!

Pros: Thanks to the staff everything was great I will be back!!
Cons: The only thing that should be improved is the daily entertainment and evening entertainment.
Location: Take a walk over to the other hotel or take the trolley the have great restaurant's and shopping in the hotel.
I just returned from my weekend getaway and I must say it was a very good choice I'm so happy I stayed at The Barceló Bavaro Beach Adults Only. It was more then I expected the hotel is huge and the staff very friendly from check-in to the waiter's, waitresses everyone always greeted you wherever they seen you. I can't forget to mention how good the food was I was pleased with every meal they go above and beyond at this place. My room was comfortable they cleaned our room daily and made sure we had fresh towels and that our mini fridge was stocked at no charge. I give this place a 5 star!!!!!

Adults Only?

Pros: The Staff
Cons: The representatives from Expedia at that Hotel, disgusting. We booked (and pay) a transfer from Hotel to Airport and nobody showed at the time booked
Location: The excursions are not as promised.
I would have expect a little bit more excitement for an Adults Only hotel. By the other hand the Bavaro Palace Deluxe (which includes children) was more "exciting". However the "shows" from the guests at that part of the hotel were not appropiate for children. The world upside down!!!

Pros: Pool area, and beach
For an Adults only it lacked many amenities. no swim up bar,no work out area, few restaurants. The sister resort did have all of that which seemed odd. The sister resort also had the spa, again very odd. It was a hassle to go to the sister resort. You had to walk or take a train something you really don't want to do when your on vacation. No food huts for snacking throughout the day was available either. The overall area was nice, the hotel and beach was nice. But again for an adults only it lacked a lot of adult amenities.

Stunning beach, great resort, don't drink the agua

Pros: Stunning beach, facilities, pools, friendly staff. Amazing walkway along beach.
Cons: Food. 2 of 4 restaurant dinners were fair to poor. The room - basic and showing heavy wear. The snorkeling - don't do it. Unimpressive reef, fish.
Location: The beach, the beach, the beach. Un-be-lieve-able. Lots to do if you have the money, but why leave the beach?
It's a gorgeous resort of Disney-like scale located on a truly stunning beach. That's really all you need to know. Just book it - you will love it! But for a little more detail, know that it's a massive resort with all the amenities you can imagine, and one can choose various levels of accommodation that include corresponding levels of room quality and included extras. We chose the basic room, and were SUPER glad we chose the no kids option. Much more peaceful. I can't really say enough about the beach. It blew me away. Caveat is that I am not a seasoned Caribbean traveler - this was my first time. We paid extra to stay at a 4 star resort, and I think it was worth it. The much lower scale resort next door had the same beach, but the facilities were a bit depressing and I think that would wear on one a bit. (but I'd do a cheapo resort with a beach like that - just lower my expectations). On the down side, the food was hit and miss. The buffet is a safe bet because it is freaking vast - you will be able to find something you like. For the regular restaurants, 2 dinners out of 4 were good. The weird thing is the bad food looked great - just didn't taste great. Buffet wise, i would prefer fewer options of higher quality. I should note that I take my food very seriously so am perhaps more discriminating than some. Lots of people loved the food. And the booze. Lol.

Perfect for Quick Getaway

Pros: Everything was offered at the resort - no need to leave.
Cons: Hospitality and service could be improved.
We stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro - Adults Only Hotel. We needed a quick and affordable getaway at a good hotel. The hotel provided food, entertainment, beach, pool, casino, night club,spa, and even some shopping. We stayed for 5 days and there was no reason to ever leave the resort. (Though we did do one excursion through the hotel) A few complaints, however, include...VERY LIMITED TOP SHELF ALCOHOL available and this was at an additional cost. Needless to say, we barely drank on this trip. We did not want to pay extra and we didn't want to drink their cocktails which we knew would give us heartburn later. NO FOOD OR DRINK SERVICE ON THE BEACH (NO FOOD SERVICE AT POOL. BEACH CHAIRS WERE OUTDATED. BEACH WAS NOISY AND CHOPPY - tour boats constantly passed by playing loud music. There was not a minute that passed by where you would hear the loud music or noise from the middle of the water (there was some sort of on-the-water aquarium by the beach). NO MUSIC playing by the pool. Make sure to reserve all your dinners as soon as you arrive, or if you can, before you arrive. All our dinner reservations that were after 9pm. If none of the above is an issue for you, then by all means try it out. It is affordable for a quick escape Overall, the resort did its job... we are in our late 30s and we came to relax and we did just that. Though, if we return to Punta Cana, we will most likely try another hotel for comparison.

Pros: Malerischer Palmenstrand.
Cons: Gästeinformation über unterschiedliche Kategorie zum Deluxe Palace besser herausstellen. Umweltschädlichen Bootsverkehr einschränken.
Location: Ideal für Strandurlaub in grosser All-Inclusive Anlage.
Das Adult Only Hotel (ehemals Palace), heute Beach, ist nicht auf demselben Stand des heutigen Flagship-Hotels Palace Deluxe der Barceló-Gruppe in derselben Anlage. Die verwirrende Namensgebung kann zu Enttäuschungen führen, wenn der Gast -fälschlicherweise- davon ausgeht, der Adult-Bereich befinde sich auf demselben Niveau des Deluxe Palace, sei nur räumlich abgegrenzt. Der nahezu gleiche Preis legt dies nah. - Z.B. sind die Zimmer im Adult-Bereich nicht mit einem Jacuzzi ausgestattet und auch nicht technisch renoviert worden. Der vormals hohe Qualitätsstandard des Buffets des Palace wird nicht ganz aufrecht erhalten, ebenso wie die generelle Service-Qualität. Wer dies weiss, ist mit dem Standard zufrieden, im Deluxe Palace aber besser bedient.

Nice hotel! Very nice staff!

The overall experience was nice but there were certain things that need to be improved, like the wi-fi service. Wi-fi is not free and the range is very poor. The food was great!! Except for "a la carte" restaurant where you have to make a reservation for any of the 7 restaurants, which i prefered the buffet. Buffet was great!! The beach is nice, not like other resorts around the aerea. The pool is nice but it doesnt have a bar in it. I was expecting a inside pool mini bar or something but, there was not. If you want a drink while in the pool, get out and look for it or have a waitress to bring it to you.
