Very nice resort close to the beach

Pros: The location , cleanness and good staff. The beef was somewhat tough in the buffet and the restaurant.
Cons: More affordable wine selection.
Location: We just stayed at the resort wanting to rest.
We enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo Bavaro very much. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was very helpful. Appreciated the help of Jesus Peguero in helping me get my boarding pass. The gentleman at the desk named Jainol was very helpful as well. But all the staff was friendly and very attentive. The grounds were excellant and the beach well maintained. The food overall was good. We just wish that the house wine was of better quality. Otherwise you have to pay about 50 dollars a bottle for a decent wine at the restaurant. Overall a great place and would come back again.

This is our 4th trip to Barceló Bávaro Beach - Adults Only - All Inclusive. We have enjoyed it every time we have been there. I would highly recommend this resort.

BEST resort in punta cana

We stayed at the adults only resort but were easily able to access the other barcelo bavaro resorts through their complimentary shttle. The drinks were great, the food was amazing, the staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to go back!

Best Resort

Pros: close to airport, beautiful beach, great food, great drinks, customer service OUTSTANDING
Cons: keep an eye of people who have drank too much
Location: mall about ten minutes away
We stayed at the Adult five nights and we all had a great time. The steak house was excellent so as the Italian and the Seafood. The buffet was very good and even thow am very picky there was always plenty to choose from. The shows were good the beach was always been clean early in the morning so as the pool. Plenty of workers serving you so you never had to wait long for a drink. The drinks were very good top shelf liquor in every bar. The only problem we had was one of the guest at the Palace side was drunk and attacked my brother in-law as he and his wife were coming out of the theater but security took care of this aggressive guest. I suggest bartenders keep track of how drunk the person is before they keep serving them. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE at the ADULT and also THE PALACE. So many wonderful employees wanting to serve you and so respectful. We will visit this resort next year and please bring dollars bill to tip this people work very hard

Relaxing Getaway

Pros: I love the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, the gorgeous beaches, and I even thought the food was good (and I am super picky).
Cons: When our group was at the Adults Only side in early October there was a "hip hop" event there. Wasn't planning for that :(
Location: Cortecito Beach and shops, San Juan shopping center, Palma Real Shopping, Cabeza de Toro beach
This was my 9th time in the Dominican Republic and 3rd time at this resort. I love this resort because it is a nice middle of the road resort with regards to price and quality. A great pick for first timers, as well as us seasoned visitors :) The staff are all very professional and friendly. While Spanish is their language, and I enjoy learning more each trip, you can always find English-speaking staff. They are most accommodating to all travelers. I actually use a mobility scooter to get around and the resort is very handicap accessible. It is, however, quite a distance from the adults-only side to the palace side though, so if you use a wheelchair I would consider taking a motorized scooter, as it would be tiring to use a manual chair. And most of the activities are located on the palace side. It is just a very large property. But GORGEOUS, and tons of activities! The only real negative was that while our group was there in early October there was some kind of hip hop event that was happening on the adults only side. Every day they had wild pool parties and loud rap music. This was not really a problem, just not what I had experienced at this resort before and not what our group was expecting. We were really looking for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing vacation, and this completely changed the experience. I realize this probably brought in a lot of revenue for the resort, but I might suggest not hosting these kind of events. Or at least letting people know.

Barceló Hotel & Resort

My wife & I had a great time. We stayed 7 days. The food was great. The staff when out of their way to please. Many pools. Right on the beach. The room was large & clean. The only slight negative is some staff knew only a little English as to be expected.

Great Resort with Amazing Landscape On The Beach!

Pros: Super friendly service, beautiful landscaping, beach, adult pools
Cons: Housekeeping could be greatly improved. Clean towels were not left, sheet not changed when requested, floors not clean.
Location: The shuttle from the Bavaro to the Palace was great! Did not need to leave the resort area!
Check-in was fast and easy, guest services were very helpful with dinner reservations, answering questions, printing our boarding passes and securing our shuttle back to the airport...Evelyn, Julie and Dorian were very kind! (I hope I have their names correct) ANTONIO is a ROCK STAR! The food was ok.... We actually loved the buffet the best, especially breakfast! Every morning we were greeted with smiles, seated at "our table" by a wonderful lady, but cannot remember her name. She always brought an extra chair for my beach bag, kept our waters and coffee full, always offered us Mimosa's, juice and more!...Just love her!! The pool was well kept and very nice. The drink service was amazing from the (2) pool servers. They always had smiles, did their best to interact with us and always kept the drinks coming. The grounds were unbelievable...super pretty and manicured. The beach was amazing! We walked it every morning ... preferring to go to the right vs the left as there are less people and nobody pushing services on you. The palm trees are bent over the ocean and at the end you will find a wonderful stream and a large sand bar that is so cool! On the down side... on Thursday, a large "convention", but truly it was a party of about 600 people came in. They were very obnoxious, played loud vulgar rap music, took over the main bar, stage area and pool with lewd acts. I did not feel safe walking to our room and I am glad we left on Friday.
