This place is just getting going. A historic house renovated 6 years ago. Stayed in the biggest room Lucila. Its a 1 bedroom apartment with a king bed. The main room has 2 queen beds. There are 2 full bathrooms. 10 minute walk to the downtown. Its not perfect but I liked it very much. It is fully staffed 24 hours. The staff is very nice. If you are fussy and expect everything to be perfect you will be disapointed. If you like it a little rustic and original you will like it.

Love the casona style vibe, very nice. Everything was good, just a bit of walk to the plaza. Thank you
I loved the feel of rustic Mexico, yet clean. I felt that I was living in an elegant hacienda or convent. It was quiet, airy, and very conveniently located near the plaza. In walking distance of food, churches, and museums. We weren't in our rooms much. We did sit outside our room in a seating area overlooking the fountain. The beds were nice and the shower too.
Great potential but disappointing.
The photographs shown on Expedia depict a much better time for the hotel. Currently, it seems that it’s been abandoned. Plants are dry and the outdoor furniture looks pretty sun-beat and in need of replacement. It seemed like we were the only guests in the entire hotel as we never saw anybody else and they never asked our name when we arrived or checked out. We just got a key to the room.
Service staff was limited and their lobby was always locked. We had to knock every time we came back to the hotel for someone to let us in or out. This happened at all hours of the day.
Amenities such as air conditioning and a hair dryer were none existent. We had a portable desk fan and the room was hot at night time which made it very uncomfortable to sleep.
On our last day, we asked for a late checkout only to learn that they were waiting for us to leave so they could fumigate the hotel. We just needed a few hours to keep our luggage but they said that they had scheduled services right at noon, which meant everybody had to be out of the hotel. Again, we were the only guests.
I hope that our stay was just a different kind of day and experience as I understand that the pandemic affected many people in the hotel industry.
Based on our experience, we are rating this hotel more as a hostel than a boutique as it’s described.
We wish them well and we hope that they are able to reboot their operations with professional services.
This is a very unique place. It is definitely a different experience that is also unforgettable.
The place is an old hacienda and it feels like you went back in time. The entire city center is ancient and rich in history. This place was beyond wonderful. It was bliss
This is a wonderful little gem in the middle of the busy district, close to the zocalo, the cathedral and great restaurants to eat at. Despite a location right on a main street, the room was quiet and we barely heard any traffic noise and enjoyed the lovely bells ringing from the cathedral. The staff was lovely, helpful, friendly and were accommodating to what little Spanish we knew. Definitely recommending this place and hope to return one day again.
