The property is listed as having a terrace, a spacious terrace, and that was a main reason for us booking it but on arrival the terrace was not functional as it was overgrown. Having contacted Host Wise, they were not able to resolve the issue and we couldn’t use the outdoor space for the complete week we were there. We asked for remuneration and they insultingly offered 30.95 stating that, although the garden furniture had weeds and grass growing up through it, “the space remained accessible and functional; the outdoor furniture could still be used, and the area enjoyed throughout your stay”. This is an incredulous opinion for Host Wise to have as the area could not be enjoyed. It was not fit for purpose and most certainly could not be used as a terrace on which to dine, relax and enjoy the weather. It is very disappointing that Host Wise think it is appropriate to list, show and charge for amenities but do not have the moral ethics to admit, accept and fairly remunerate when those amenities are not as described and not functional. It definitely ruined our stay and we will definitely not be trusting any accommodation listed by Host Wise when booking in the future.
