"My experience at La Quinta Inn was absolutely horrible from start to finish. Upon arrival, the property looked old and abandoned. There was paint missing from the exterior of the building, which immediately gave a poor first impression. When I entered the lobby, it was extremely hot, and I noticed the staff had brought in a personal fan from home just to stay cool. Things only got worse from there. The elevator was disgusting and had what appeared to be mysterious liquid stains on the floor. The hallways were dark, hot, and had no air conditioning. Even the room doors had paint peeling and missing from them. Once inside the room, I found hair in the bathroom that clearly did not belong to me or my guest. The shower had built-up dirt and grime where the soap holder used to be, and the water would not drain properly. I was so uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the shower that I wore Crocs while bathing. The television was small, although it did at least have internet TV. The worst part of the stay happened when I was lying in bed and a spider literally crawled across my face. Thankfully, I was able to capture photos. At that point, I was completely done. I immediately jumped out of bed, packed my belongings, and checked out.To make matters worse, the staff was not helpful when I raised my concerns. I was told the manager does not work weekends and would not return until Monday. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had."
