The property was lovely. Staff was very friendly and very polite. Food was very good. Staff was constantly cleaning the property. We were there 3 years ago and decided to go back. So glad we did.

It’s was a very nice hotel. The entertainment at the hotel wasn’t enough. Barely any entertainment for the guest. Needs more fun and entertainment and especially with the staff working. Everyone is so laid back and quiet.

This resort is AMAZING! I have stayed here before almost 10 years ago and the resort has had a complete update remodel. My husband and I loved our stay here. The service was 10/10. All the staff are so kind and hard working and make you feel well taken care of. The food was so delicious and the drinks are amazing. Everything is spotless.

Very clean rooms and resort. Spotless really. On the plus side: 1 - spacious room 2 - good food with abundant variety 3 - great restaurant choices especially the Asian 4 - decent beach with pretty water On the negative side: 1 - the bed is on the firm side 2 - the gym is not as spacious as pics appear and the bench press machine has been broken for who knows how long 3 - smoking at the pool and on the beach is unbearable for those of us who do not smoke 4 - pepsi rather than coke products 5 - Dos Equis rather than Modelo Overall, customer service is great and the place is spotless

Second time staying here and overall another great experience. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and the staff is very accommodating—you can always see them working on improvements around the property. We loved the variety of restaurant options and had great meals throughout our stay. One downside was the addition of the elite club, which took up a significant number of pool chairs and part of the breakfast dining area. This created an artificial shortage and made both the pool and breakfast areas feel much more crowded than necessary. The mattress was also a bit uncomfortable for our liking. Still a lovely resort overall, but those are a few things that impacted our stay this time around.

The room was very nice, it could use more lights, the staff friendly and helpful except when dealing with the personal of the company hired to transport us from and to the airport/resort, they were unbelievably horrible to work with, very disorganized and extremely rude both at the airport location and worse at the resort.a written complain was filed with no follow up.

The staff is phenomenal, the rooms are kept so clean, the entire resort is kept so clean! Loved the options of restaurants for meals and other options for snacks and drinks. The entire property is amazingly beautiful.

Room was spotless. Property is beautiful. The employees are wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful time! We have been going to RIU Palace since year 2000, when it was more colonial in its look. We introduced our love for RIU to our children, and grand children! Keep up the great work!

The staff was AMAZING. I could not find a single thing wrong with the service. They all seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Make sure to get an inward facing room.

The RIU Palace in playa del Carmen was exceptional. The food and the hospitality went above our expectations. We were amazed with the beach as it was very spacious. The hotel is in a prime location as it is also near 5th avenue. We can’t wait to come back!

What stood out is the cleanliness and abundance of staff at the resort. Public washrooms were immaculate and always clean. Restaurants were clean and the food was great. Riviera Maya is one of the best beaches in Mexico so that was awesome. Everything was fantastic. Very Kid friendly too.
