It is a nice place to stay. We where pleased with the accommodations. We visited family in Pierre, only needed a place to sleep. Had breakfast one morning, is was good. It was in the end of December and was off season. We will stay again!

The price was right, but it was essentially a hunting shack with very little else. I would not recommend for solo female travelers. It is about a 20 minute drive outside of Pierre. It's a good deal, but it's essentially a bed and a shower.

We arrived late at night and left early in the morning. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, plenty of hot water, we have no complaints. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the location and the cafe as we were just a short overnight stay. We would stay again.

Visited this property for fishing in October 2023, we had a great time and everybody was so nice and helpful letting us know some great spots to drop our lines and giving us tackle for success. The booking said "cabin" and it was a double wide trailer. The counter in the kitchen snagged and ripped my coat and cut my son's hand. It smelled. The fridge was dirty and so was the stove top. One of the toilets didn't flush. And I'm not sure the doors actually locked. Also there was just a spare door laying around. My kids were scared to stay there over night so we ended up leaving and booking at a better place. The Outpost refused to refund any of my money back. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
