My flight was delayed, so I called the hotel to let them know I was going to be in after 2 am, but I was coming, so please fo not give my room away. I was assured that my room would still be there. I got to the hotel at 3:15 am only to be told that my reservation was canceled even though there was a note on my account. The woman at the desk did sympathize, at first, but told me there were no rooms available except one with a leaky toilet. She said she could put me there until later that day then move me to the room I had actually paid for. In the meantime, the night manager came out and started yelling at me and calling me a liar even though there was very clearly a note on the account showing I had called. I said I would just cancel the already paid for booking and make sure the hotel got none of my money. It was at this time the manager realized I had paid for the whole week, not just one night, and the hotel was going to lose the entire week's booking. He immediately changed his tone and reinstated my reservation but still said I had to take the room with the leaky toilet until about noon. Having no other option at 3:30 in the morning i agreed. I was put in a room that was barely habitable. The only thing clean in it was the bed. There wasn't even soap so I could was my hands. I was moved to the room I paid for later in the day, but the damage had been done. I will NEVER stay at another Aloft or Marriot property again.
