The Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown
"The hotel is gorgeous and a fantastic stay! The location was ideal. This is my second experience at a Royal Sonesta and they charge for everything! Know this in advance. The credit card hold placed at check in for incidentals is above industry standard. You will pay for parking, you will overpay for a buffet breakfast, you will pay for everything. There are no refrigerators or coffee makers in the room so you cannot even bring food in and keep it for your stay and you are at the mercy of the restaurant schedule. The restaurant/bar schedule was super inconvenient. Limited and not open for afternoon or after hours cocktails. Difficult to relax when you constantly have to leave the hotel."

Hyatt House Portland/Downtown
"All the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and spacious. We didn’t have dinner there but the breakfast was delicious! Great location for our needs with proximity to the tram and OHSU, plus beautiful walking areas along the riverfront."
