Hotel LaFayette was exactly what we were looking for during our trip to Paris! My partner and I wanted a convenient place to stay located in a “lived in” (not touristy) part of the city while still being near dining, the metro, and things to do. Hotel LaFayette fit the bill exactly!
The check-in experience went very smoothly even though we were later than anticipated due to a flight delay. Front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Their team speaks both French and English, so for travelers who aren’t fluent in French, there are no concerns with getting checked in.
The room we stayed in was quite small compared to an American hotel room, but we were constantly out in the city doing things so it fit our needs exactly - a place to come back to for a shower and bed. While the beds were a little firmer than my preferred taste, the location and price made our stay worth it!
There is breakfast available at the hotel for a fee, but we did not end up trying it. Everything looked great and we saw many other hotel guests enjoying breakfast before heading out for the day. There is a cute Patisserie and Boulangerie just down the street near the closest Metro station as well as several restaurants for lunch and dinner. The location is highly walkable and we enjoyed ourselves very much!
