Disliked: Room comfort
First impressions not too good. Building site up the road and lorries start at 07.00 in the morning. Noise from the bin area right outside the front is annoying. Villa itself was disappointing. Musty and scorching hot when we arrived. Clean enough inside but let down by some easily resolvable details. The main bedroom had a poorly fitted sheet which came off after 5 minutes-no mattress protector underneath, not very hygienic. Bedroom cupboard space taken up with the owners own stuff which I don’t want to see. No bedside lights either which is inconvenient. Toilet is not correctly fitted to the floor and moves – quite alarming. Bathroom window has no handle so cannot be locked. Kitchen equipment is a bizarre collection of stuff which looks like it was bought from a charity shop. E.G. only 1 proper wine glass and only 3 dinner plates, nothing matches. 2 cupboards were full of the owners stuff. Fridge had half filled glasses left in the freezer. Lights above the front and back doors inoperative. Nasty signs by all aircon units telling you to switch them off or incur extra charges. Unnecessary as they are on a push switch which only lasts for an hour and if you leave the house you take the key fob out of the socket which kills the power anyway. Quite tidy outside but maintenance is needed. Pool shower tray is loose and wobbles when you get in it. Could not open the back gate. Lots of faults but nothing that could not be resolved with a bit of TLC and spending a bit of cash.
