The staff was very friendly. The food was good. We enjoyed the entertainment. The property was kept clean. We booked 2 beds and were given a room with 1 bed. The manager Brian told us that one of us could sleep on the couch. I didn’t pay that much money to sleep on a couch for a week. If I wanted o e bed, I would have reserved a room with one bed. The room the I reserved should be guaranteed. The buildings don’t have elevators. That could be a problem for some people. There are golf carts to use around the property. Do usually run about every 10 minutes. Concierge to building 12 was amazing. Every time we needed a golf cart she would call and get us one. She also made sure we had everything we needed in our room.

There was way more to like about the resort than to dislike. We love that the bracelet serves as your room key. We loved that the resort did not allow people to place towels on lounges to reserve them (I have been commenting to my wife that all resort's should go to this policy). The food was great in each of the restaurants and the buffet (which was a very different food style each night). The resort was very clean and well kept. The air conditioning worked great and our room and common areas were cool (important in the Costa Rican heat). Service was polite and very fast in most places. There were monkeys on the resort. The beach (dark sand because the pacific side is volcanic in nature) was ok but not great. The pools were a wonderful temperature. The service staff, in addition to the wait staff, was very friendly and accommodating. Their English tended to be very good. The evening entertainment was really good with the same group performing each night. They were very impressive. Not like? - the resort is built on a steep hill side which makes it difficult to walk from the bottom to the top (they did have shuttles running regularly for those who don't want to walk). While the service was great in most places it was horrible in the Italian Restaurant and, we heard, in the sports bar. (We didn't go to for long because it was more of their disco, karoke, dance hall rather than a sports bar). Their video scheduling and mapping system needs better instuctions.

We booked a star class suite , and we were assigned Deshaun, he made the experience go from 100 to 1000 , I asked and he replied immediately with thorough answers. Even some of the star class benefits we weren’t aware of , he informed. I truly felt I was dealing with a friend not an associate, I give this 100/10 without Deshaun or star class service I don’t think the experience would be the same. Also I want to mention Ivan from the private pool
Cabanas he hosted us and met all our needs amazing job Ivan at the pool cabana service !

OMG this property has everything that you would need to enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica. The beach front is gorgeous and the monkeys were a plus. The staff kept the drinks flowing and the food coming.
We were extremely impressed on how the staff went over beyond to make our stay a 5 star experience. Benilida "Beni" ensured we our Covid 19 tests appointment were scheduled in a timely manner. Carlos at the Gusto was our personal sommelier and went over and beyond to make sure our last dinner was memorable.
I will definitely be returning
