Welcome to ‘Villa Chandolas.’ Completely private, romantic, and walled in; this enchanting oasis located in the highly desirable area of South Palm Desert hides behind palm trees and high hedges. Walking distance from the shops, art galleries, and restaurants of gorgeous El Paseo.
Behind the gate, the exquisite swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation, honed Saltillo tiles, tiled water fountains and wrought iron railings create a romantic and soothing atmosphere. Although ‘Villa Chandolas’ is a stone’s throw to the best shopping, restaurants, tennis and golf, you won’t want to leave the house. Has Mountain Views too.
The ample and open family/kitchen/ living room with fireplace and high wood beamed ceilings embraces the tranquil atmosphere of the warm and exotic patio areas. Enjoy being lost in time. The elegant master seamlessly transitions to the verdant patio area through French doors and a swimming pool. The house also offers two other bedrooms with pool and backyard views. Both bathrooms are loaded with charm and spacious walk-in showers.
Multiple outdoor spaces, gorgeous plants, mature trees, lemon and orange trees-- the pool and the amazing fountain exude peace, tranquility and romanticism. Paradise is at your fingertips. The kitchen has new appliances. Coffee lovers, don’t worry there are several options, a Keurig (loaded with pods,) a traditional Cuisinart coffee pot with a grinder on-site and a French Press! Brand new 6-burner barbecue too. Also, dual system central state of the art new AC/Heat with Nest thermostats. Pool is heated between October and April!

We loved staying at this charming hacienda style home. The host was very thoughtful and attentive to our needs. Location was walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and post office. Property was very clean and well equipped for our monthlong stay.

European Style Cozy Oasis Retreat in the Desert

We recently stayed for a month at Villa Chandolas and we had a wonderful experience. April is the consummate hostess who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. She was always attentive to our needs, super sweet, and available for help if we needed it. The house was exceptionally clean and well organized and the property is well maintained. We particularly loved the outdoor covered terrace with a lion-face fountain by the pool and the beautiful trees and plants. The location is also great and is close to El Paseo, leisure activities, and to the Living Desert. Overall, the property is exactly as described and it is perfect for a small family looking for an awesome escape to a tropical desert oasis. Thank you, April!

Loved our stay. Host is very responsive to any questions. Lots of privacy, great heated pool, and a great location with lots of character in Palm Desert. The property does show its age a little but things work and and we absolutely loved it. Hope to stay there in the future.

Fabulous privacy near El Paseo.

This is a lovely compact Casa with everything you need for an easy stay a short walk to El Paseo. The two well separated master bedrooms with comfortable king beds make this home perfect for two couples. There is a nice third bedroom as well for others. We enjoyed the completely private pool and courtyard and the quiet residential area - very walkable to shops, restaurants and services. Our host April is a dream to work with for easy, prompt communication. The home stays nice and cool with shade trees around the pool and back yard. Loads of windows and old world charm.

Restorative month in Palm Desert

This is a charming home with a lovely pool area. The house has a European feel and it is fully fenced and landscaped to provide complete privacy. April, the owner, was very responsive and positive with every question I had. Can’t wait to go again next year.

Great Family Retreat!

My wife and I rented the Villa Chandolas for the full month of April 2021. We then alternated hosting friends and family for week long stays. April graciously arranged for maid service between each group and provided bikes for our use. The house was perfect for this kind of retreat. The house has a large, well stocked kitchen, outdoor barbecue and a wonderful shaded patio for al fresco dining. The pool is perfect for kids (and adults) and there is plenty of poolside seating for supervision and relaxing. It’s hard to see from the photos, but there is a fence and gate which secures the patio/house area from the pool. If the gate is locked, children cannot wander from the house or patio to the pool area, which was reassuring. The living room has a surprisingly comfortable sofa which makes for a cozy TV watching experience at night. The bedrooms are perfectly sized and have more than adequate closet space and even enough space for a children’s crib. The neighborhood is quiet, and is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants on El Paseo. My wife and I loved the early morning mockingbird songs. We all had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this VRBO. Mike’s Tip: Checkout the Palm Desert Aquatic Center where you will find lap swimming, diving boards, water slides and children’s splash pool. Great fun and cheap! Michael & Allie

The most magical place

I can not express how magical this home is. There is a feeling of peace and tranquillity once you open the gate and step into April’s home. It so well equipped and all the beds and sheets are super luxurious. The pool is stunning and the open indoor outdoor living is just perfect California. Location is amazing, it’s 5 min to EVERYTHING you could need. April is just a sweetheart. She help us with everything we needed and made us feel so welcome. No wonder the home has such good energy when she is the owner. Thank you again. We will be back.

Can't say enough good things!

We stayed in April's property for 7 weeks, originally intending to stay only a month. The vibe is so relaxing and full of charm, we didn't want to leave! We loved dinners on the veranda, drinks by (or in) the 30' private pool, and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. This is the best-stocked rental we've stayed in -- when we arrived there were lots of necessities like laundry/dish soap, toilet paper, and first aid supplies in addition to lovely gifts from the hosts. We worked from the house, and the internet was super fast. If you're not working, the smart TVs have all the channels you'd ever want. Finally, April was super responsive to our questions and accommodating to all our needs. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return! Thanks, April!

“A Holiday to be resumed”

Great home for holidaying with the family. Unfortunately because of COVID-19 our stay was cut short but the owners were incredible to deal with. A very generous offer made to us to stay if the border was closed to us going back to Canada. This is an older home that made us smile the minute we got through the front gate. We hope to be able to finish our holiday in the not to distant future.
