The grounds are lovely with bougainvillea flowers and hardy succulents landscaping and appealing rusty coral outdoor walls. Hotel Biba is on it's way of becoming a quaint hotel but it's got a ways to go. There are visible signs of unfinished outdoor maintenance (unpainted stucco) and housekeeping seems to be more interested in their phones than really getting the rooms cleaned. I had to request the glass surfaces and plastic headboard be wiped down more than once after the room had been 'cleaned". Also there is a strange lack of security. The pool area is always unlocked, no need of a passkey to enter. There are cameras, but no rely sign of anyone on hand if something was fishy. The rooms are bright white (their signature color of non color) but no bedside lamp for reading. One of the rooms was arranged where the ceiling led light was nowhere near the desk it should have been above. In my room there was nowhere to put my toiletry kit nor where there any drawers.

I was expecting much more based on the reviews posted. On a positive side, convenient to the airport, good price. My room was very small, bed was uncomfortable, no remote for the TV, noise from the hallway was excessive, no deadbolt on the door, and I had to get up in the middle of the night to cut off the water to the toilet which kept running.

This is a cute little boutique hotel. Booking a room comes with free parking and a free continental breakfast. It is only about a $6 Uber ride from the hotel to the main area with all of the bars and restaurants. The only bad thing is that because the rooms are located in individual buildings outside, it can get noisy inside the rooms with people coming and going.

If I could give 0 stars, I would... We had prepaid reservations for only 1 night. Check-in was a nightmare experience. The front desk (Richard) asked for ID, but would not accept government military ID. He recognized it, but would not accept it. Every other travel partner accepts military ID - but apparently, not this hotel. Aggravating. Next, the provided map and directions were to the backside of the room with no entry. Seeing our distress, a maintenance man guided us to the other side. Then, we saw the room door was wide open and room had not been cleaned. After being moved to a different room, Richard stated he was unable to offer compensation on our prepaid reservation. Ok - if giving money back was a problem, he could have offered a restaurant appetizer or beverage or something... but not at this place! This is an old hotel with minimal updates for a boutique feel. There is only one free electrical outlet in the room. The inside shutters hide the old windows. The main terrace is unusable from 5-10:30p due to the restaurant and is very noisy. The room door is paper thin so we were awakened several times by people checking into their nearby rooms. The only good things about this historic hotel were the location, landscaping in the small courtyard outside the room, and continental breakfast, which had yummy pastries & layered bread with dusted sugar. Overall, the stay was an unpleasant experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid staying at this place!!

Great Stay

Cons: The water damage in the room made me wonder if there was mold. I'm sure it wouldn't be too costly to make those minor types of repairs.
Location: Great location near the beach. Clematis and City Place are cute little downtown areas that are nearby and worth the visit.
I've traveled to and stayed in West Palm Beach but this was my first time staying at Hotel Biba. It was a cute little hotel in a good location, although I drove past it at first! Everyone I encountered on the staff was great and really friendly. The breakfast that is provided had a lot of options, including some healthy choices. I also appreciated that they had a jug of ice water available 24/7 so I was able to save money from buying bottles of water. The room was nice, although it looked like there had been some water damage on the walls so that was a little bit of a turn off. But, bathroom was a decent size, the room was big, it was perfect for what I needed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. The only issue I really ran into was that I could hear the train when it passed at night, we're far enough from the train that I didn't think it would pose an issue but I am a very light sleeper so that woke me up every time it passed. If I stayed here again, I'd bring a pair of earplugs!

beach time

Pros: In a quiet neighborhood
Cons: Room cleaning service
Location: Many things to do nearby, eating beach time church etc..
The hotel was quaint, room was pleasing be not as good as I was expecting. Linens weren't changed, sink and toilet not cleaned. Bedside stands we painted wooden boxes. It was a very quiet area, we were given a free upgrade, and we were clos to the pool and breakfast area. nice sitting areas outside. Pool was fantastic. Desk person very friendly and helpful.

Bare necessities.

Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: The amount of noise after 10 pm. I heard quite a bit of noise until 2 am from the lobby.
Location: The location was convenient for my personal business on PGA Blvd.
The particular room I stayed in was equipped with a bed, bedside table, t.v., shower, commode, sink and air conditioning. No more. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was extremely tight, not for full-sized vehicles. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The neighborhood was a little iffy.

An acceptable place to stay

Pros: It was safe, and I felt comfortable after a while.
Cons: They really cannot improve on what they have.
Location: This hotel is in West Palm Beach. An upscale area in general. One can go to spring training games at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
The Hotel Biba was not what I expected. The room was basically a studio room with a bathroom. It was a clean room, and they did provide a free breakfast.

Clean, Quiet, Close to Intercoastal Walkway

Pros: The staff, the quietness, and the cleanlilness. Plus itt is just off I-95 so easy to get to places.
Cons: I would change the side tables into storage tables for those who are staying for longer visits.
Location: The walkway for running/walking was very important to me. The neighborhood is very clean and friendly.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. When you walk in the room, it smells clean and fresh. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. And, it is very, very quite. After 10 PM, you don't hear any noise. You are only 3 blocks from the intercoastal walk way. A great place to walk/run. And a good continental breakfast. Something for everyone.
