The upper level wraparound deck was so nice to sit out on. The hot tub was a nice treat at the end of some long hikes. I do wish that there were better coffee options at the home. My husband had to go into town every morning to get coffee. An upgrade, or a Keurig would be nice. Other than that, our stay was fantastic. We were also so pleased with how accommodating they were with our dog. We would definitely stay there again!

Amazing views from the covered porch. Spent most evenings watching storms move across the valley or deer walking nearby. Could easily see 10 to 15 miles in almost any direction.

One of the best view properties in Pagosa. The interior has been reconditioned/remodeled and is very nice. The exterior needs maintenance and also landscaping. All in all very good stay and would have liked to stay longer.

Breathtaking Views

My husband and I ( and our doggy Bodhi) had an amazing time! The house was just as listed. It was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. The location was perfect. It was close to town, golf course, and shopping. We saw lots of different wildlife and hot air balloons each morning while enjoying our coffee on the deck. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. I will definitely items be back!

Peaceful and beautiful scenery

This house was amazing! From the breathtaking Mountain View’s which you can see from every angle on the wrap around deck. We enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning and watching the sunsets. Bonfire and hot tub were fabulous well. The house was spacious and open. The house is located close to town of Pagosa Springs, which offers many restaurants, shops, coffee shops. Rosie’s pizza is a must! The Springs Resort with its many hot spring pools and views of Saun Juan river was amazing! Watching the sunrise from the Hippy Dip hot is something I highly recommend. Treasure falls is about a 30minute drive and well worth it!! We enjoyed our stay in this house and Pagosa Springs.

Hilltop house

The views were amazing from this house. We used the hot tub every night. The house was comfortable. The sun rise and sun set were great. Getting to town was a short drive to activities and food.

Amazing Getaway

This was a great house for use to get away for a few days. It is fairly secluded and the views are amazing from the deck. It is nice they provide fans for the rooms in case it is hot. We ordered some firewood and it was delivered to the house and we had some nice evening fires. The deck was great, the two rooms with tvs were comfy and great for family movie watching. the hosts were responsive as well with questions we had.

The house is located close to Pagosa Springs, easy access to grocery store, restaurants, etc. the house is located in a quiet neighborhood on top Of a hill—the views and sunsets were spectacular! Will come back!

Christmas in Colorado

Our family had a wonderful stay in Pagosa Springs. The house was the perfect pet friendly place for our family to get together. The views are wonderful and it was a treat to see large elk herds from the patio our last two mornings. Arriving on December 24 to a (not requested) Christmas tree already up was icing on the cake.

The house was an awesome place to stay!

If you stay in the house, you need to have 4wd or AWD to make it up to the house especially if it snows. It’s a great house with ample space for at least 8 people.

Wonderful Home!

This house was great for our family of four. Actually, it could have housed several more people with all the space! The views were spectacular and the house was close to town. The driveway was perfect for sledding down and we appreciated that there were sleds to borrow while we were there. Communication with the owners was easy and they quickly came to our assistance when we tripped the circuit breaker. The kitchen could use a few more gadgets (pizza cutter, pasta drainer), but overall had everything we needed.

Incredible Views

We stayed a little over a week at the property right before the Thanksgiving holiday. It was very cozy and relaxing. The views are amazing. It snowed, and plenty of wildlife would pass through daily. The house has a very welcoming feel, and truly felt like home while we we there.

Honeymoon Trip

We stayed here for our honeymoon & it was the BEST time! Pagosa is stunningly beautiful & so is this property. The wrap around balcony is incredible. The best view you could have in town & I'm not kidding. We explored around, but no view beat the one we had at the house. You can see everything from that balcony. Hot air balloons in the morning, we saw a couple rainbows, the most beautiful sunsets, all kinds of wild animals. We saw deer, elk, bunnies, a skunk, a fox, all without having to leave the house. We really hope to vome back one day & hope we can stay here again. Everything about this trip was great, but this house was the best part. Thank you!

elk view was great!

We actually stayed at Elk View when our original VRBO rental had to have some repairs done. The property was close to town and restaurants. We saw wildlife as promised. The house was large enough for 6 adults to stay and have their own space. Great property. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful views, but less than satisfactory accommodations

Pros: Great location just outside of town. It sits at the top of a hill, so the views are beautiful. There are lots of opportunities to see wildlife in the area. We woke up to elk, deer, and turkeys in the yard. We requested early check-in and the host was very accommodating. Cons: The overhead lights and fans in all upstairs bedrooms did not work. Maintenance attempted to fix when we checked in, and said he'd send an electrician during the week. No one ever came or checked back. The hot tub, record player, and interior stair lights did not work. We were also told at check-in that the guest bathroom shower did not work. The only screens on the windows are in the bedrooms. You can't enjoy the beautiful weather in the other rooms without letting in flies and mosquitos. The yard is all dirt with the exception of a 10 x 10 section out front. I had to remove cacti from both our dogs paws and the yard turns to mud when it rains. The refrigerator door has a sign on it to make sure it's closed. It doesn't want to close without that extra push. I left similar feedback upon checkout and received no response.

Beautiful views

This property has a wrap-around porch providing beautiful views! The surrounding area is quiet, peaceful! The location is extremely accessible to grocery stores, dining options and shopping in Pagosa.

Views for miles....

We had an excellent visit to Pagosa Springs and this house was the perfect spot for our family to rest and spend time together. The views are as advertised and do not disappoint. You will be reasonably close to town and to a number of things to do. We went to Chimney Rock National Monument for a very cool full moon event (if you can time your trip right) and drove the hour over to Durango. Float the river in Pagosa as well.

Herd of Elk and Mountain View’s

This house was a great place to stay in Pagosa Springs. One night as we were enjoying the large deck we saw a couple of Elk in the distance. Within a few minutes an entire Herd showed up in the yard with maybe 40 Elk. House was also clean and roomy. The views of the mountains were incredible.

Heavenly Views & Great Accommodations

We absolutely loved our stay here. Of the many places in Colorado we have visited, this was our favorite house of all time. The basement level was perfect for our teenagers and the views from the wrap-around porch were absolutely stunning and perfect to watch sunsets or the random hot air balloon flights in the morning. My husband and the kids really enjoyed the hot tub after their long days at Wolf Creek too. If you plan on visiting in the winter, a 4 wheel drive vehicle (and a dash of speed) is key to getting up to the top of the driveway but I promise you, if you have to dukes-of-hazzard it up the drive, it is 100% worth the climb. We look forward to coming back soon!
