Overall good stay

The stay was ok. It was comfortable. The young lady at the counter when we checked in was amazing ! Very personable. The room was ok. There was dust and stains on the chair. There were small ants crawling on the desk. Room service came one of the days that I was there but they didn’t come again. I didn’t have a “don’t disturb” sign on the door. Overall, I would still stay there again. It wasn’t so bad for the price.

The front desk employees kept themselves in the back and not even acknowledging our existence. Took 27 minutes to get anyone to speak to us and it was when the 2nd shift girl arrived. There were many families waiting. I was exhausted and just wanted my key. Awful!

We were there the first day as a Holiday Inn. The lobby was bare and filled in some by the time we left. The hotel is run down and old. Maybe HI will update this hotel. They did not service our room the one day they should have. We paid $32 per day resort fee. For what?

The hotel was pristine clean and the ambience was also very nice. Staff was friendly and I also liked that there is a convenience store, Starbucks and kids zone area within the hotel itself. I had to leave in the middle of my stay at Ramada as it was so dirty and Holiday Inn did not disappoint at all. I had a great stay at Holiday Inn.

We had a terrible check in as we were driving into Orlando from out of town for the annual chess championship. The check in process took 3 hours from 930pm to 1230am. We got access to the hotel around 1245 am by the time kids went to bed it was close to 1am. The issue was that the properly had recently changed from Wyndham group to Holiday Inn and the folks at the front desk could not quickly locate people’s existing reservation from Wyndham or Expedia. The hotel staff were unprepared to handle the crowd and it took every family an average of 25 minutes to check in. Truly speaking they should have reimbursed us for one night but the hotel did not. They gave us free vouchers instead for breakfast for one day. The hotel was ok. Not the cleanest or the most updated but was comfortable to stay. We were in town for the chess tournament so that was the main reason we chose that place.

It would have been nice to know that the hotel I booked 6 months ago was bought out and changed to the Holiday Inn. The check in line was a disaster and I was assigned the wrong room after reserving the upgraded "Magical View". Honestly don't waste your money on the "view". Its funny that they have the No Smoking signs posted yet my floor smelled like weed. The elevators malfunctioned throughout our stay, had to walk down 5 flights of stairs after getting stuck on it. So overall my stay was not enjoyable.

The ownership changed from Wydham to Holiday Inn the day we went there. It took us 3 hours to check in! The kids were very tired! We should have left and gone to a different hotel! Understaffed! They should have had more staff to help with the transition. They should also train the staff better
