Pros: Everything! I felt very welcomed and I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a Disney trip!
Location: Boat rides, the swimming pool was heated with a water slide and an area for the children to play, there are also monthly activities offered.
LOVED the resort!! It had everything we needed. There was a variety of restaurants and dinner shows to choose from as well as gift shops and convenience stores located in the resort. The monorail and shuttles to other Disney parks and resorts were available right outside the front door! The staff are helpful, friendly and cheerful. My four year old daughter was always addressed as "Princess" by the staff members which I thought was really cute. There was so much to do I don't think we had enough time to experience it all. In the evenings we made smores on the beach and watched a Disney movie on a big blow up screen. The atmosphere of the resort was priceless.

Disney's Polynesian Hotel

Pros: We love the atmosphere. One of the most friendliest and beautiful hotels we've ever stayed at. And, we had an awesome room overlooking the pool.
Cons: nothing, it was perfect.
Location: We mostly enjoyed the convenience and beauty of the pool, but also took advantage of Disney's special guest hours from midnight to 2:00 a.m.
We had been booked for a week with family at local timeshare when we decided my wife and I were going to book an extra three nights after shipping family home. We found this awesome deal on Travelocity and celebrated my 50th in style. We wouldn't have changed anything or asked for anything more. It was a perfect three nights!

Disney magic

Pros: The location, large rooms, large bathroom, quiet, comfortable beds
Cons: The congestion in the lobby, this was mostly because of the construction
Location: Very close to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, monorail transportation very handy, several sit down places for dinner and on a lake
Great hotel and stay, there is construction going on there so this was some what disruptive. Overall really enjoyed the room and location.

Awesome Trip

My husband and I had a great time at the Polynesian. The first night was a little rough because the people in the room next to us had a newborn baby that cried all night, but that's not the hotel's fault. Thankfully, they checked out after our first night. The hotel was beautiful and the convenience of being able to take a bus/boat/monorail to the parks was fantastic. We received room service on our last night and ordered the pizza. We did not have high expectations of what the pizza would taste like, but it was SO good! Overall, it was a wonderful vacation and we left with a lot of great memories.

Beautiful stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort

Our family vacation was perfect at the Polynesian Resort.  We loved how relaxing it was, and we felt like we were worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the Disney parks, but yet close to everything.  Grandchildren loved the volcano pool and we all enjoyed the food at Capt. Cook's and Ohana's.   Fun watching fireworks from the beach and the electric light parade.   Front desk staff was very helpful in getting us rooms we requested.

Rooms were dirty and had bed bugs

Cons: No free Internet, Noisy
While the grounds are very pretty, the pool, lobby, etc., the rooms are not what you would expect to see with the price you are paying. This is a "deluxe" hotel and I would rate the rooms as similar to many motel rooms you could get super cheap. They also were unclean. The first room we had when we checked in had hair in the tub and the bathroom counters were disgusting. To top it off I found bed bugs the next morning. The staff did move me and pay to clean all of our things, but I couldn't sleep well the rest of the vacation and it ruined our disney vacation we saved so long for. If you stay here, check very very closely for bed bugs. Check box springs and around closet area.

Beautiful Hotel

This was our first trip to WDW and we wanted to limit the hassles. Staying at the Polynesian fit that bill to a tee! We have two preschool-age kids and it was great to be able to use the monorail to get to the Magic Kingdom. No folding up the double stroller! Kids loved the volcano pool and best part was the slide. Watched the fireworks and the electric water parade from the resort's beaches. We stayed in the Aotearoa building (Lagoon resort view) and it was very convenient to the pool, beach, and great ceremonial house with restaurants and monorail stop. Only downside was the cost. But you pay for the convenience.
