Completely Comfy
Beach stays, for us, are meant to be relaxing, comfortable and calming. This place provided all 3. I read some prior reviews and looked over the pics. It’s not a white washed, generic and sterile rental. It’s also not a cookie cutter replica of the other 20 neighboring houses crammed on small lots. When looking out its windows you are not looking in someone else’s. The home was comfortable. If you were Goldilocks you’d have a selection of beds, that vary in firmness, to choose from and the home was clean and neat. It felt like I was staying with my Aunt and not on a beachside furniture retailers sales/ display floor. Look Forward to visiting again.

Overall the stay was fine. The kitchen needs improvement as far as tools go. It also needs a pantry. The sliding glass door in main bedroom didn’t work. Hard to close so we could not use it. The screen door on other side fell off the track so could not use it. One of the big gates flew open with the wind and fortunately our dogs didn’t get out. I did call about the boat launch key which we could not find. We ended up walking to the boat launch to realize it was not locked. No one called me back about the key and I called twice. A call would have been appreciated. The location is nice but since it is next to a busy street the gates need to be more secure. Thank you for renting your property.

Fall getaway
Great stay. Wasn't able to bring our furry friends but would be a great house to do it! Clean, quiet area. Easy to load and unload the car. Big fenced yard. Love the Bear Point area of Orange beach.

Great Pet-friendly option in the best location!
Cheyenne's Retreat is in a fantastic location, close to (but not in sight of) water, and many restaurants. Check in was a bit of an effort, since you had to travel down the beach road to get to realty office, but all in all that was not an issue, especially since you do not have to return to check out. The house, itself, could use a little updating, and needed a few repairs, I.e. , screen on the door leading out to side yard was hanging off. But for it to be pet-friendly, I'd say it was excellent. Great layout and access for our older dog - only a few steps going up the front stoop. The large yard was great, and is a rare find in this area. Would definitely recommend, and will stay in again, when we are in the area.

Cheyenne Retreat Review
Beautiful home and grounds! Loved having a place where we could just let our lil Yorkie-poo chase squirrels. The remodeling of the bathrooms, floors, front porch, and repair of the privacy fence is nice, but the screened porch needs repair and the screen door is hard to open and close. Dirt, sand, and coffee grounds were found under the kitchen cabinets and master bath shower needed better cleaning. All-in-all though, we had a really good time, except the rainy weather.

Great Get Away
The property itself was great! The yard was huge and perfect for our dogs. We had one issue with the key to the boat ramp being from the previous year and it did not work, but the manager of the ramp let us in and out so we could launch. Checking in was easy, but the parking lot was small and we had a 30’ boat trailer behind us making very hard to navigate. We would rent this property again!

Nice quiet place off the beaten path
Nice place with HUGE yard off the beaten path. Wasn't luxury accomodations but perfectly adequate for a quiet week at the beach.

Needs some stuff fixed and clean better
They need to update some things. Air conditioning is very bad. Stayed hot. The out side porch needs screens repaired. The bed had dog hair on the linens and the floors were dirty. Need a new cleaning crew for the amount they charge us ridiculous. The grill is falling apart and the fencing is broken in places. The sliding door in the master would barely open so basically unusable the entire time. The screen door was falling down. We did like the set up or the house and room and the fenced in yard was nice for dogs. But they need to put some money into this place
